Color Profile
An ICC file that maps colors between a source color space and the print engine output for consistent reproduction.
Definition
A color profile is an ICC (International Color Consortium) file that maps colors between a source color space like sRGB and the destination print engine output. The profile compensates for the differences in gamut, ink chemistry, and substrate response so that what the customer sees on screen matches what the press produces. Long Island DTF Printing maintains internal color profiles for each transfer line and applies them automatically during file intake. Decorators do not need to embed or manage ICC profiles in their submitted files. Submitting in standard sRGB with no profile is the simplest and most reliable workflow.
