DTF Transfers in Amityville, NY for Trade Crews and Small Shops

Amityville sits in Suffolk County right on the Nassau line, and a lot of the work here comes out of small shops and trade crews. This page is about branding that kind of apparel: left chest and back logos on work shirts, hoodies and hi-vis, priced at $0.06 per square inch with no minimum. Order by 3 PM Eastern on a business day and it ships that day.

What two placements on a work shirt actually cost

Work the numbers on your own logo before you order. Standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch of the design's bounding box, so a 4 by 3 inch left chest mark is 12 square inches, or $0.72. A back logo with the company name and phone number at 11 by 4 inches is 44 square inches, or $2.64. Both placements on the same shirt cost $3.36 in transfers. A crew of twelve in two placements is $40.32. Thirty pieces is $100.80, which clears the $99 free shipping line on its own. A 3 by 1.5 inch sleeve mark adds $0.27. Pre-cut contour cutting is $0.29 per transfer if you would rather not trim.

No minimum, so a two-shirt reorder is a real order

Standard DTF transfers have no minimum order. Two new hires start Monday, you need two left chest marks and two backs, that is $6.72 of transfers and it is a normal order, not a favor. Place it before 3 PM Eastern on a business day and it prints, gets inspected, gets packed and goes to the carrier the same day. After 3 PM, or on a weekend or federal holiday, it ships the next business day. Production runs Monday to Friday. A few specialty items do carry minimums: puff DTF is 10 units, leatherette patches are 10 per shape and color, and custom UV DTF has a $35 order minimum.

Gang sheet or separate transfers: run both numbers

Gang sheets are 14 inches wide and priced at $0.06 per square inch of sheet area, not design area: 14 by 24 is $20.16, 14 by 36 is $30.24, 14 by 72 is $60.48. Minimum spacing between designs is 0.25 inch. A 14 by 24 sheet holds three 3.5 inch left chest logos across and six down, so 18 of them for $20.16. Those same 18 ordered as individual transfers are 12.25 square inches each, or $13.23 total. On a gang sheet you pay for the empty space too. Sheets earn their keep when you want a single sheet to cut down over several months or you are mixing sizes. Run both numbers in the pricing calculator and the auto-build packer before you commit.

Getting a truck-lettering logo ready to print

Most trade logos already exist as vector art, sitting with whoever letters your trucks or made your yard sign. Ask them for a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background, sized at final print size: 11 inches wide for a back mark, 4 inches for a left chest. If all you have is a JPEG with a white box behind it, that white will print. The free background knockout tool on the site runs in the browser and strips it. Check small type at actual print size before ordering, because a phone number that reads fine on a truck door can close up at 4 inches. Bounding box drives the price, so extra transparent margin costs money.

Pressing onto hoodies, hi-vis poly and heavy cotton

Press spec is 300 to 325 F for cotton and 285 to 300 F for polyester, 10 to 15 seconds, medium-firm pressure. Most hi-vis and moisture-wicking shirts are polyester, so use the lower window on those and the higher one on heavy cotton hoodies and canvas. Applied to spec, transfers hold up for 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F, which is the number that matters when shirts get washed every week and come back covered in whatever the job left on them. Production defects get reprinted. Per our terms, report a defective or incorrect order within 7 days of delivery with photos.

Shipping, Huntington pickup, and the local courier option

Amityville is in Suffolk County, so all three options are on the table. Shipping is free on orders of $99 and up within the contiguous US, with standard transit of 2 to 5 business days and expedited of 1 to 3. A $19.99 flat-rate local courier option appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses. Or collect the order yourself: local pickup is the same business day after production, by appointment, at 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1, Huntington, NY 11743, which is our only location. Questions on a specific run, call 631-458-3842. One thing to be clear about: same-day means we hand it to the carrier the same day, not that it lands on your bench that day.

Who orders from Amityville

Contractors and trade crews

HVAC, electrical, plumbing, landscaping and remodeling outfits ordering left chest and back logos for work shirts, hoodies and hi-vis. No minimum, so a two-piece reorder for a new hire costs $6.72 in transfers.

Shops that decorate for trade accounts

Uniform and apparel shops pressing for contractor clients. Order individual transfers or 14 inch gang sheets, shipped the same business day when the order is in by 3 PM Eastern, and press on your own schedule.

Small businesses branding a handful of pieces

Service counters, auto shops and one-van operations that need six or eight branded shirts, not a case of them. A 4 by 3 inch left chest logo is $0.72 per piece, priced per square inch with no unit minimum.

Equipment and hard-good branding

UV DTF transfers at $0.10 per square inch for job boxes, tumblers, coolers and helmets. A 3 by 3 inch decal is $0.90, and custom UV DTF carries a $35 order minimum, so roughly 40 decals clears it.

Amityville questions

Can I order DTF transfers for just two shirts?
Yes. Standard DTF transfers have no minimum order. Two left chest marks at 4 by 3 inches and two back marks at 11 by 4 inches come to $6.72. Minimums exist only on a few specialty items: puff DTF at 10 units, leatherette patches at 10 per shape and color, and custom UV DTF at a $35 order minimum.
If I order by 3 PM, will the transfers reach Amityville today?
No. Same-day means shipped, not delivered. An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that day. Transit is separate: 2 to 5 business days standard, 1 to 3 expedited. For a faster hand-off, choose pickup at the Huntington facility or the $19.99 local courier option if it appears at checkout for your address.
My logo is only on my truck. What file do you need?
A 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background, saved at final print size. Whoever wrapped or lettered the truck has the vector file and can export that in a minute. If you only have a JPEG on a white background, use the free background knockout tool on the site, then check the result at print size before ordering.
Will the transfers hold up on shirts that get washed every week?
Applied to spec, standard DTF holds 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F. Spec is 300 to 325 F for cotton, 285 to 300 F for polyester, 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure. Hi-vis and moisture-wicking shirts are usually polyester, so use the lower temperature window on those.
Is a gang sheet cheaper than ordering transfers one at a time?
Not always. Gang sheets are priced on sheet area at $0.06 per square inch, so you pay for the gaps as well as the artwork. Eighteen 3.5 inch logos fill a 14 by 24 sheet at $20.16, and ordered individually the same 18 are $13.23. Sheets make sense for mixed sizes or one piece you cut down over time.
