DTF Transfers for Pop-Up Market and Craft Fair Sellers in Bayville, NY
If you sell at pop-up markets and craft fairs around Bayville and the rest of Nassau County, your problem is not printing. It is guessing. This page covers what a booth actually orders from us, the per square inch math on those sizes, and how the 3 PM Eastern cutoff fits a Saturday market schedule.
A booth is not a purchase order
You do not know which design sells, which size sells, or whether the first hour goes to toddler tees or XXL crewnecks. That is why standard DTF transfers here carry no minimum. You can order one 4 by 4 test piece at $0.96 before you commit a season's budget to a design nobody picks up. Transfers are inventory that does not lock you into a blank. Print the art, keep it flat and out of sunlight, and press onto whatever color and size the customer actually reached for. The stock risk moves from printed shirts to blank shirts, which are far easier to sell through or carry into the next show.
What a market table costs at $0.06 a square inch
Standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch of the design's bounding box, so every number here is arithmetic you can run yourself. A left chest at 3.5 by 3.5 inches is 12.25 square inches, or $0.74 a piece. A 10 by 12 full front is $7.20. A 9 by 9 tote graphic is $4.86. Twenty-four copies of a 4 by 4 pocket design is $23.04, which is what a slow Sunday has to beat. Impulse items price the same way: die-cut vinyl stickers at $0.22 make a 3 by 3 sticker $1.98, UV DTF at $0.10 makes a 3 by 4 tumbler wrap $1.20, and glow in the dark DTF at $0.18 puts a 4 by 4 print at $2.88.
When a 14 inch gang sheet is worth it and when it is not
Gang sheets are 14 inches wide and priced at $0.06 per square inch of sheet area: 14x18 is $15.12, 14x24 is $20.16, 14x36 is $30.24, 14x48 is $40.32, 14x54 is $45.36, 14x72 is $60.48. Minimum spacing between designs is 0.25 inch. Be clear-eyed about what that buys. A 14x24 sheet holds eighteen 3.5 inch squares, three across and six down, which works out to $1.12 each against $0.74 ordered as individual transfers. You are paying for the whitespace. The sheet wins on handling rather than price: one piece to store, dozens of different designs in a single file, cut off what you need between customers. Loose packing is what makes it expensive, so run the free auto-build packer first.
Building a weekend market around the 3 PM Eastern cutoff
Production runs Monday to Friday. An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. That is the standard service, not an upgrade. Transit is separate: 2 to 5 business days standard, 1 to 3 expedited. Same-day shipping is not same-day delivery, so do not plan a Saturday market around a Thursday order. For a weekend show, get the file in by 3 PM Monday or Tuesday and you sit comfortably inside the standard window. Orders placed after 3 PM, on a weekend, or on a federal holiday ship the next business day. Mid-season restocks follow the same clock.
Pressing between shows, and what survives a season
Press at 300 to 325 F for cotton, 285 to 300 F for polyester, 10 to 15 seconds, medium-firm pressure. Applied to spec, the print takes 50 plus commercial wash cycles at 104 F, which matters when the person who bought at your table wears it all season and gets asked where it came from. Send 300 DPI PNG files with a transparent background at final print size. If your only logo file is a JPEG sitting on a white box, the browser-based background knockout tool on the site clears it before you upload. There is also a per square inch pricing calculator, a drag and drop gang sheet builder, and a catalog of 2,434 ready-to-print designs.
Getting the box to Bayville
Free shipping starts at $99 in the contiguous US, and sheet pricing makes that simple to hit: two 14x54 sheets is $90.72, and adding a 14x18 at $15.12 brings the order to $105.84 with the shipping line at zero. If you would rather not wait on transit, local pickup at our Huntington facility is same business day after production, by appointment. A $19.99 flat-rate local courier option is available at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses. However it arrives, open the box when it lands instead of the night before your show. Defective or incorrect orders need to be reported with photos within 7 days of delivery, and production defects are reprinted.
Who orders from Bayville
Weekend craft fair vendors who press on demand
You bring blanks in every size and a heat press. Transfers get pressed when a shirt sells, so nothing goes home as dead printed stock. Reorder the designs that moved on Monday by 3 PM.
Holiday and seasonal market sellers
Seasonal art has a short window and no second chance. No minimum means you can run three versions of a design cheaply, see which one sells, then order the winner as a packed 14x54 gang sheet.
Makers selling hard goods alongside apparel
UV DTF at $0.10 per square inch covers tumblers, glassware and packaging. A 3 by 4 wrap is $1.20. Die-cut vinyl stickers at $0.22 fill the under ten dollar shelf that keeps browsers at the table.
First-time vendors booking a single table
Order one transfer, not a case. A 4 by 4 at $0.96 lets you test the art, the blank and the press settings before a show, without a minimum, a setup fee or a screen charge.
Bayville questions
- How fast can I get DTF transfers for a market in Bayville this weekend?
- Orders placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day are printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. Transit is separate: 2 to 5 business days standard, 1 to 3 expedited. For a Saturday market, order early in the week. Local pickup in Huntington is same business day after production, by appointment.
- Is there a minimum order for a small craft fair run?
- There is no minimum on standard DTF transfers, so a single 4 by 4 test piece at $0.96 is a real order. A few specialty items do carry minimums: puff DTF is 10 units, custom UV DTF has a $35 order minimum, and leatherette patches are 10 per shape and color.
- Should I order a gang sheet or individual transfers for my booth?
- Individual transfers are priced on each design's bounding box, gang sheets on the full sheet area, so a loosely packed sheet costs more per piece. A 14x24 sheet at $20.16 holding eighteen 3.5 inch squares is $1.12 each against $0.74 individually. Order sheets when you want many different designs in one piece to cut at the table.
- Can I press transfers at the table during a market?
- Vendors do it constantly. Use 300 to 325 F for cotton, 285 to 300 F for polyester, 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure. If you do not want to trim between customers, add the pre-cut contour cutting option at $0.29 per transfer so each piece arrives ready to lay down.
- Do you deliver to Bayville, or do I have to ship?
- We ship to Bayville and all 50 states from our Huntington NY facility, which is our only location. Orders $99 and up ship free within the contiguous US. A $19.99 flat-rate local courier option is available at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses, and appointment pickup is same business day after production.
