The arithmetic on a 60-shirt event run

Take a 60 shirt run with a 10 x 12 inch front and a 3 x 8 inch sleeve strip. The front is 120 square inches at $0.06, so $7.20. The strip is 24 square inches, so $1.44. That is $8.64 per shirt in transfers, $518.40 for 60, before blanks. Gang sheet or individual transfers: run both numbers

DTF gang sheets are 14 inches wide and priced at $0.06 per square inch of sheet area. A 14 x 18 is $15.12, a 14 x 36 is $30.24, a 14 x 72 is $60.48. Individual transfers are $0.06 per square inch of the design bounding box. Same rate, different area. A 14 x 36 sheet holds about 27 logos at 3.5 inches square once you allow the required 0.25 inch spacing, which is $1.12 each. The same logos ordered individually are 12.25 square inches, $0.74 each. When the logo arrives as a JPG off someone's phone

A lot of community and youth artwork shows up as a JPG a volunteer exported from a phone, or a logo with a white box behind it. What presses correctly is a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background, saved at the actual print size. The background knockout tool on the site runs in the browser and strips the white box without a Photoshop license. Press settings for a shared or borrowed heat press

A press that several people take turns on needs the settings written down and taped to the wall. Cotton runs 300 to 325 F, polyester 285 to 300 F, 10 to 15 seconds, medium-firm pressure. Polyester sits lower because the dye migrates when you cook it, which is how white ink on a navy poly jersey turns pink two days later. Applied to spec, these transfers hold up to 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F, which matters when a program washes the same set of shirts every week. Production defects are reprinted. Report a defective or incorrect order within 7 days of delivery with photos.
