Standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch of the design's bounding box, so costing a drop is arithmetic rather than a quote request. A 12 by 16 back print is 192 square inches, or $11.52. A 3.5 by 3 left chest is 10.5 square inches, or $0.63. A 3 by 11 sleeve hit is $1.98. A 2 by 2 inside-neck label print is $0.24. Run 50 tees with a back print, a chest mark and a neck label and your transfer cost is 50 times $12.39, or $619.50. There is no minimum on standard DTF, so the same math holds if you only press six.
Gang sheet or cut singles: run the fill percentage
DTF gang sheets are 14 inches wide and priced at $0.06 per square inch of sheet area, at fixed lengths: 14x18 is $15.12, 14x24 is $20.16, 14x36 is $30.24, 14x48 is $40.32, 14x54 is $45.36, 14x72 is $60.48. The rate is identical to individual transfers, so a sheet only pays for itself when you fill it. Pack 3.5 by 3 chest logos with the required 0.25 inch spacing and a 14x24 holds 21 of them, which is $0.96 each against $0.63 ordered individually. The 3 PM Eastern cutoff, and what actually lands in Brooklyn

A screen setup stops making sense somewhere under a few dozen pieces, or when a design carries more colors than the press has heads. DTF covers that gap. No screens, no separations, no underbase decision, no reclaim. A four-color halftone costs exactly the same per square inch as a one-color block, because the price is bounding box area and nothing else. That makes it practical for sample runs before a client signs off on a design, for size-curve fills when you come up six 2XL short, and for restocks that do not justify setting up again. Contour cutting is $0.29 per transfer if you want them pre-cut instead of trimming by hand.
Press settings for heavyweight cotton and poly blends
Heavyweight cotton tees and fleece take 300 to 325 F. Polyester and poly blends need 285 to 300 F so the base does not scorch and the dye does not migrate. Either way, 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure. Applied to spec, transfers hold past 50 commercial wash cycles at 104 F. If a drop mixes blank types, sort by fabric before you start rather than splitting the difference on temperature. Press one test piece per blank and per garment color, wash it, then commit the run. That is cheaper than finding out after 80 hoodies are already done.
Files, knockouts and scaling across the size curve
Send a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background at final print size. Not the mockup, not a JPEG with a white box behind it. If your source is a scan, a photo or a flattened comp, the browser-based knockout tool on the site strips the background without a round trip through Photoshop. Scale the print across the size curve as well: a 12 inch back graphic reads differently on a small than on a 3XL, and each size needs its own file. - How long do puff, leatherette and raised UV take?
- Those are the exceptions to same-day. Raised UV patches, dimensional UV graphics, luxury branding transfers, hard-good branding components and fauxbroidery run 48 hours. Leatherette patches and puff DTF run 72 hours. Standard DTF, UV DTF and gang sheets are the same-day products, so plan any mixed drop around the longest lead time in it.
