The 6.875 inch rule on a 14 inch gang sheet
DTF gang sheets are 14 inches wide, priced at $0.06 per square inch of sheet area, with a minimum 0.25 inch gap between designs. That gap creates a hard rule: two designs nest side by side only if each is 6.875 inches wide or narrower. A 10 inch wide full front nests one across, so a 14 by 72 sheet at $60.48 holds five of them at $12.10 each, against $7.20 ordered as an individual transfer. Wide art belongs on individual transfers. Gang sheets earn their keep on small and mid-size work: 6.5 by 8 inch graphics nest two across and eight down, 16 to a 14 by 72 sheet.
Testing a graphic before you commit a season to it
There is no minimum on standard DTF transfers. Print five of a new design at 10 by 12 for $36, press them, put them on the rack and find out what moves before you order 200. That is the real argument for transfers on seasonal merch: no screens, no setup charge, no dead inventory of a graphic that did not sell. Reorders cost the same per piece as the first five, so a design that works gets restocked in whatever quantity the week calls for.
