14 inch gang sheets versus individual transfers for a PTA order
DTF gang sheets are 14 inches wide and priced at $0.06 per square inch of sheet area, the same rate as an individual transfer's bounding box. Fixed lengths run from 14x18 at $15.12 up to 14x72 at $60.48. Because sheet area is always larger than the sum of the boxes you pack into it, a gang sheet does not undercut individual transfers on price. Pick a sheet when you want one piece to trim down yourself, one file to proof, and full control of the layout at the 0.25 inch minimum spacing. No minimum is why DTF fits a spirit wear program
There is no minimum on standard DTF transfers, which is the whole reason DTF suits a school program. You do not have to guess the size run in July and eat the leftovers. Print 18 transfers for one classroom, press them onto blanks as the forms come back, then order 30 more when the late sign-ups land. Nothing is screen-burned, so a reorder three weeks later is the same file at the same per-square-inch rate. Keep artwork as a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background at final print size, and that one file covers youth small through adult 2XL once you scale it and re-price the bounding box.

Spirit wear blanks are rarely all one fabric. Cotton tees press at 300 to 325 F. Polyester performance shirts and athletic shorts want 285 to 300 F so the fabric does not scorch or dye migrate. Either way, 10 to 15 seconds at medium to firm pressure. Blends sit in the overlap, so run one test piece on the actual blank before a volunteer works through 120 shirts. Applied to spec, the transfer holds 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F, which matters on a shirt worn every spirit day and washed every weekend.
