Sizing a chest logo to fit four across a gang sheet
Gang sheets are 14 inches wide with 0.25 inch minimum spacing, so design width decides your yield. A 3.5 inch wide chest logo fits three across. Drop it to 3.25 and four fit, since four logos plus three gaps is 13.75 inches. At 3.25 by 2.5 inches you get 4 across and 8 down on a 14 by 24 sheet: 32 logos for $20.16. Those same 32 ordered as individual transfers come to $15.60, because you pay only for the bounding boxes and not the gaps. Add pre-cut contour cutting at $0.29 each and they are $24.88, cut and ready. Choose based on whether you want to trim them yourself.
Hi-vis polyester and cotton want different heat
Two fabrics, two numbers. Cotton tees, hoodies and canvas take 300 to 325 F. Polyester, including hi-vis knits and performance tees, takes 285 to 300 F. Both want 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure. Start at the low end on polyester and press one shirt out of the actual batch before you run the crew, because dye migration shows on a colored poly base long before it shows on cotton. Applied to spec, a transfer holds through 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F, which matters more on workwear that goes through a machine five nights a week than on almost anything else.
Turning a sign shop JPEG into a printable file
Most trade logos exist as a JPEG from whoever wrapped the trucks, sitting on a white square. Printed as is, that white square prints too. What the press needs is a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background, sized to the final print dimensions. The 3 PM cutoff, and how the box reaches Richmond County
Production runs Monday to Friday. An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. That is the standard service for everyone, not an upgrade and not a fee. After 3 PM, or on a weekend or federal holiday, it moves to the next business day. Shipping same day is not delivery same day: standard transit is 2 to 5 business days, expedited is 1 to 3. Orders of $99 and up ship free within the contiguous US. If you would rather skip the carrier, pickup by appointment is available at our Huntington facility the same business day production finishes.
What is not a same-day product
Standard DTF, UV DTF and gang sheets are the same-day products. The specialty UV line is not, because the cure and build stages add time. Raised UV patches at $0.65 per square inch, dimensional UV graphics at $0.10, fauxbroidery and luxury branding transfers all run 48 hours. Leatherette patches and puff DTF run 72 hours and both carry minimums: 10 per shape and color on leatherette, 10 units on puff. If you want patches on the crew hats and transfers on the shirts, start the patches first and let the DTF catch up, because the DTF is the fast half of that order.
