DTF Transfers for West Manor Restaurants, Bars and Cafes

Long Island DTF Printing supplies heat transfers to restaurants, bars and cafes in West Manor and across the Town of Brookhaven. Standard DTF runs $0.06 per square inch of your design's bounding box with no minimum order, so a three-shirt reorder for new hires costs $2.21. Orders in by 3 PM Eastern ship the same business day.

What a 24-person front-of-house run actually costs

Uniform runs are smaller than owners expect. Standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch of the bounding box, so a 3.5 by 3.5 inch left chest logo is 12.25 square inches, or 74 cents. Twenty-four of those is $17.64. Add 24 sleeve wordmarks at 2 by 10 inches ($1.20 each, $28.80) and twelve apron chest panels at 8 by 5 inches ($2.40 each, $28.80) and you are at $75.24. Twelve hat fronts at 4 by 2 inches add $5.76, for an $81.00 total. Cross $99 with a back print or extra aprons and shipping is free anywhere in the contiguous US.

Hiring three servers in March should not mean a 24-piece order

Restaurant staffing does not move in batches. There is no minimum on standard DTF transfers, so when three servers start you order three chest logos for $2.21 and press them onto whatever blanks you already stock. Keep the file, reorder at the same dimensions, and the new shirts match the ones from last season. Same for one scorched apron or a manager who wants a different back print. Puff DTF carries a 10 unit minimum and custom UV DTF a $35 order minimum, but the standard transfers your uniforms actually run on have neither.

Aprons, tees and caps do not press at the same temperature

Front-of-house apparel is rarely one fabric. Cotton tees press at 300 to 325 F. Polyester and poly blends press at 285 to 300 F. Both want 10 to 15 seconds at medium firm pressure. Spun poly aprons and performance polos will scorch at cotton settings, so run the lower band and test on a spare before you commit a full rack. Canvas and denim aprons are thick, so confirm the platen is reaching the print area rather than bridging over a pocket or a seam. Send artwork as a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background, sized at final print dimensions.

Fifty commercial wash cycles is the number that matters in a kitchen

Staff apparel sees the washer far more often than a team shirt. Applied to spec, these transfers hold 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F. That is the relevant spec when aprons go out to a linen service every week and a server's shirt is washed after every shift. Most early lifting is a press problem, not a print problem: too cool, too short, or too light on pressure leaves the adhesive under-activated and the edges peel. If something arrives with a production defect, report it with photos within 7 days of delivery and we reprint it.

When a gang sheet beats single transfers, and when it does not

Gang sheets are 14 inches wide at $0.06 per square inch of sheet area, in fixed lengths: 14x18 $15.12, 14x24 $20.16, 14x36 $30.24, 14x48 $40.32, 14x54 $45.36, 14x72 $60.48. That is the same rate as a single transfer, so a sheet only pays when you fill it. Twenty-seven 3.5 inch chest logos fit a 14x36 sheet at 0.25 inch spacing, three across and nine down, using about 66 percent of the area. That works out to $1.12 each against 74 cents ordered individually. Gang sheets earn their keep on mixed work: chest logos, sleeve marks, apron panels and hat fronts nested together. The auto-build packer does the nesting.

Getting it to Brookhaven: carrier, pickup, or local courier

An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. That is the standard service, not a rush fee. After 3 PM, or on a weekend or federal holiday, it ships the next business day. Production runs Monday to Friday. Same-day shipping is not same-day delivery: standard transit is 2 to 5 business days, expedited is 1 to 3, so a Friday order will not be on the pass for Saturday brunch. Local pickup at our Huntington facility is same business day after production, by appointment. A $19.99 flat-rate local courier option appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses.

Who orders from West Manor

Independent restaurant owners

Chest logos, sleeve marks and apron panels reordered in whatever quantity the schedule demands. No minimum means replacing three shirts after a hiring week costs a couple of dollars in transfers, not a full production run.

Bar and taproom managers

Staff tees plus merch you sell over the bar, printed from the same art at $0.06 per square inch. UV DTF at $0.10 per square inch covers hard goods: a 3 by 4 inch tumbler wrap works out to $1.20 each.

Cafe and coffee shop owners

Small batches, frequently. A 4 by 2 inch hat front is 48 cents and a 3.5 inch chest logo is 74 cents, so a six-person morning crew can be outfitted for under $8 in transfers plus blanks.

Caterers and food truck crews

Crew shirts and aprons that survive service and laundry, rated 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F. Add pre-cut contour cutting at $0.29 per transfer so anyone can place and press without trimming.

West Manor questions

Can I get DTF transfers the same day in West Manor?
We ship same day, we do not deliver same day. An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that business day at no extra cost. Transit is a separate 2 to 5 business days standard, or 1 to 3 expedited. For faster, pick up in Huntington by appointment.
What is the minimum order for restaurant staff shirts?
There is no minimum on standard DTF transfers. Order one chest logo or two hundred. Pricing is $0.06 per square inch of the design's bounding box either way. Exceptions elsewhere in the catalog: puff DTF needs 10 units, custom UV DTF has a $35 order minimum, and leatherette patches run 10 per shape and color.
Will a printed logo survive commercial laundry?
Applied per press spec, yes: 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F. The spec is 300 to 325 F for cotton, 285 to 300 F for polyester, 10 to 15 seconds, medium firm pressure. Under-pressing is the usual cause of edge lift on apron and server shirt prints, not the transfer itself.
Do you print the shirts or just the transfers?
We supply the transfers. You or your decorator press them onto your own blanks, which lets you keep whatever shirts, aprons and caps your staff already wear. Pricing is per square inch of the design, so garment cost stays yours. Pre-cut contour cutting is $0.29 per transfer if you want them ready to place and press.
My only logo file is a JPEG from our sign vendor. Can you use it?
It needs to become a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background at final print size. Ask the sign vendor for the vector file first, since that scales cleanly up to an 11 inch back print. If all you have is a flat JPEG on white, the free browser-based background knockout tool on our site will strip it.
