Resolution
The pixel density of a raster image, typically measured in DPI at the intended physical print size.
Definition
Resolution is the measure of pixel density in a raster image at a given physical size. It is typically expressed in dots per inch (DPI). A high-resolution image carries enough pixels to print crisp detail at the intended size. A low-resolution image produces visible pixelation, soft edges, and jagged type. The production minimum for DTF and UV DTF artwork at Long Island DTF Printing is 300 DPI at final print size. Submitting a low-resolution file triggers a flag at intake. The customer can approve the soft print or order a vector trace through the Vector Credit Pack to rebuild the artwork cleanly.
