DTF Transfers for East Hills Faith and Community Groups
Long Island DTF Printing prints heat transfers for congregations, volunteer teams and community groups across Nassau County, including East Hills. Standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch of your design's bounding box with no minimum order, so a six shirt hospitality team and a sixty person service day cost the same per inch. Orders placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day go to the carrier that same day.
Price a volunteer shirt before you order the blanks
Standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch of the bounding box around your art. A 10 by 12 inch full front is 120 square inches, so $7.20 per shirt, and sixty of them is $432. Add an 11 by 3 inch back bar reading VOLUNTEER and that is 33 square inches, $1.98 each, $118.80 across the roster. A youth 8 by 8 front is 64 square inches, $3.84. A 3.5 by 3.5 left chest crest is 12.25 square inches, 74 cents. Nothing rounds up to a sheet and there is no setup fee, so a hospitality team ordering six transfers pays for six transfers. Orders of $99 and up ship free in the contiguous US.
Gang sheets when every shirt needs a different name
DTF gang sheets are 14 inches wide at the same $0.06 per square inch, charged on sheet area rather than design area, in fixed lengths from 14x18 at $15.12 to 14x72 at $60.48. Packing is what decides your cost. Name strips at 6.75 by 1.5 inches sit two across a 14 inch sheet with the required 0.25 inch spacing, and about 41 rows fit down 72 inches, so roughly 82 names land on one $60.48 sheet, under 75 cents apiece. The auto-build packer on the site does that nesting for you. You cut a gang sheet apart yourself. If your art is small and you would rather not trim, individual transfers priced on their own bounding box can come out lower.
Donated blanks, mixed fabrics, one press setting per pile
Community orders rarely arrive as one clean case of blanks. Volunteers bring cotton tees, blends and polyester performance shirts in whatever colors were on hand. The same DTF transfer applies to all of them, but the press does not stay the same. Sort the pile by fabric before you start. Cotton runs 300 to 325 F, polyester runs 285 to 300 F, both at 10 to 15 seconds with medium-firm pressure. Press one sample from each fabric group and check it before running the rest. Applied to spec, the print holds 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F, which matters when the same shirts come back out season after season.
Weekend events, a Monday to Friday press
Production runs Monday to Friday. An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. That is the standard service for everyone, not a rush tier you select and not an extra charge. After 3 PM, or on a weekend or federal holiday, the order ships the next business day. Same day shipping is not same day delivery: standard transit is 2 to 5 business days, expedited is 1 to 3. For a Sunday event on standard shipping, place the order by the Monday or Tuesday before. A Saturday morning order does not enter production until Monday.
When the only logo file is a scan of the bulletin
Plenty of community groups have a logo that exists as a JPG lifted from a newsletter or a photo of a banner. DTF needs a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background, sized at the final print dimensions. A white box behind the art prints as a white box on the shirt. The free background knockout tool on the site runs in your browser and strips that background out. If you are rebuilding the art, set the canvas at the finished size first, for example 11 by 11 inches at 300 DPI, rather than scaling a small file up afterwards. The pricing calculator turns those dimensions straight into a cost.
Getting the box to East Hills
Our only location is 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1, Huntington, NY 11743. There is no drop-off point in East Hills or anywhere else in Nassau County, so an order reaches you three ways. Ship it: free on orders $99 and up in the contiguous US, 2 to 5 business days standard or 1 to 3 expedited. Pick it up in Huntington the same business day production finishes, by appointment. Or take the $19.99 flat-rate local courier option, which appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses. One 14x72 gang sheet, or sixty full front transfers, clears the $99 free shipping line on its own.
Who orders from East Hills
Congregation volunteer and hospitality teams
Greeter, usher and coffee hour crews usually need 6 to 30 shirts with a left chest mark and a role word across the back. At 12.25 square inches, a 3.5 inch chest crest is 74 cents per transfer.
Youth groups and summer programs
Retreat and summer program shirts run 30 to 80 pieces across youth and adult sizes. An 8 by 8 inch youth front is $3.84 and a 10 by 12 adult front is $7.20, both from the same artwork file.
Fundraiser and charity walk committees
Walk and fundraiser shirts often land on polyester performance blanks and carry a sponsor block on the back. Press those at 285 to 300 F. Multiple sponsor logos nest efficiently on a 14 inch gang sheet.
Food pantry, clothing drive and service day crews
Service day crews work in donated blanks in mixed colors and fabrics. One transfer design covers all of them, and the print holds 50 or more commercial wash cycles when it is applied to spec.
East Hills questions
- Is there a minimum order for a small church committee?
- No. Standard DTF transfers have no minimum, so six transfers for a hospitality team is a normal order. A few specialty items do carry minimums: puff DTF is 10 units, custom UV DTF has a $35 order minimum, and leatherette patches are 10 per shape and color. Standard DTF, UV DTF and gang sheets have none.
- We have an event on Sunday. When do we need to place the order?
- Production runs Monday to Friday. Order by 3 PM Eastern on a business day and it goes to the carrier that same business day, but transit is separate at 2 to 5 business days standard and 1 to 3 expedited. For a Sunday event on standard shipping, order by the Monday or Tuesday before. A Saturday order waits for Monday.
- Can one order cover donated shirts in different fabrics and colors?
- Yes. The same transfer applies to cotton, blends and polyester in any garment color, because DTF prints an opaque white layer under the color. Change the press, not the transfer: 300 to 325 F for cotton, 285 to 300 F for polyester, 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure. Test one shirt from each fabric group first.
- Our logo is a low resolution JPG from an old bulletin. Can you print it?
- Possibly, but not at every size. DTF needs a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background at final print dimensions, so an 11 inch wide print needs about 3300 pixels across. A file pulled from a web page is usually well short of that. The free browser knockout tool removes a white background, but it cannot add resolution. email our order desk and we will look.
- Do you deliver to East Hills, or do we have to drive to Huntington?
- We ship. Our only location is 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1, Huntington, NY 11743, and there is no drop-off anywhere else. Shipping is free on orders of $99 and up, 2 to 5 business days standard. A $19.99 flat-rate local courier option appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses, and Huntington pickup is available by appointment.
