DTF Transfers for Hempstead Churches, Community Groups and Small Shops

Long Island DTF Printing supplies ready-to-press transfers to churches, community organizations and small retailers across the Town of Hempstead, the largest township in Nassau County. Standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch of the design's bounding box, there is no minimum order, and anything placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is handed to the carrier that same business day.

What a 40-shirt volunteer run actually costs

Take a typical community volunteer order: 40 shirts, a 4 by 4 inch left chest logo and a 10 by 12 inch back print. The chest logo is 16 square inches, so $0.96. The back is 120 square inches, so $7.20. That is $8.16 of transfer per shirt, or $326.40 for the run, which clears the $99 free shipping threshold with room to spare. There is no minimum on standard DTF, so when the headcount moves from 40 to 43 the night before, you order three more and pay $24.48. If you want the transfers pre-cut to shape, contour cutting adds $0.29 per transfer, which on 80 transfers is $23.20.

Price follows the bounding box, so split stacked art

Standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch of the rectangle your art sits inside, not per square inch of ink laid down. Empty transparent space inside that rectangle still costs money. A crest sitting above a wordmark with a gap between them is the common case. As one file the bounding box might be 10 by 9 inches, 90 square inches, $5.40. Ordered as two separate transfers, a 5 by 5 crest at $1.50 and a 10 by 3 wordmark at $1.80, the same artwork costs $3.30. Over 40 shirts that is $84 back. The cost is a second press cycle and a second alignment on every garment, so it earns its keep on a long run and rarely on six.

When a 14 inch gang sheet is the right call

DTF gang sheets are 14 inches wide and priced at $0.06 per square inch of sheet area: $20.16 for 14 by 24, $30.24 for 14 by 36, $60.48 for 14 by 72. Minimum spacing between designs is 0.25 inch. Because sheets and individual transfers use the same rate, a sheet only saves money when it is packed tightly. One 11 by 14 inch front print eats 14.25 inches of sheet length, so five fit on a 14 by 72 at $12.10 each, against $9.24 ordered individually. Sheets pay off when an organization has many different small pieces, ministry names, committee lines, year tags, that nest into the gaps. The auto-build packer on the site does that arrangement for you.

Adult and youth prints from one design file

Congregation and community orders almost always span adult and youth garments, and an 11 by 14 inch front print swamps a youth small. Print two sizes of the same art. Adult at 11 by 14 is 154 square inches, $9.24. Youth at 8 by 10 is 80 square inches, $4.80. Thirty adult plus twelve youth comes to $277.20 and $57.60, or $334.80 total. Export each size separately as a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background at the final print dimensions. Scaling down in your art program before export is fine. Enlarging a small logo file up to 11 inches wide is what produces soft, ragged edges once it is on the shirt.

Getting the box to Nassau County

Orders placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day are printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. That is the standard service on standard DTF, UV DTF and gang sheets, not an upgrade and not a fee. After 3 PM, on a weekend or on a federal holiday, the order ships the next business day, and production runs Monday to Friday. Same-day shipping is not same-day delivery: standard transit is 2 to 5 business days, expedited 1 to 3. Shipping is free at $99 and up. Pickup is available at the Huntington shop by appointment, same business day after production, and a $19.99 flat-rate local courier option appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses.

Pressing onto donated and mixed blanks

Community orders rarely arrive as one clean case of blanks. Expect a mix of cotton tees, polyester performance shirts and the occasional tote or apron. Cotton presses at 300 to 325 F, polyester at 285 to 300 F, both for 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure. Polyester is the one to respect, since too much heat scorches the fabric and can pull dye up into the transfer. Press one garment from each fabric type before you run the batch. Applied to spec, the transfer holds through 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F, which matters when the same volunteer shirt goes back out every month.

Who orders from Hempstead

Churches and ministry teams

Anniversary services, usher and greeter teams, youth programs and summer volunteer weeks. Left chest plus back layouts in adult and youth sizes, reordered in small counts as new members join, with no minimum on standard DTF.

Community organizations and volunteer groups

Cleanup days, food and coat drives, mentoring programs and board retreats. One back print in a single color scheme, 25 to 60 shirts at a time, placed by 3 PM Eastern and out the door the same business day.

Independent retail shops

Small branded runs for the counter: tees, totes, aprons and caps. No minimum means you can press three of a design, see whether it moves, then reorder twelve without carrying dead stock.

Fundraiser and memorial shirt organizers

Short-notice runs where the count is not final until the last minute. Order what is confirmed, then top up. A 9 by 12 inch front print is 108 square inches, $6.48 per shirt, at any quantity.

Hempstead questions

Is there a minimum order for DTF transfers in Hempstead?
No minimum on standard DTF transfers. You can order one 4 by 4 inch left chest logo at $0.96, or three hundred. The exceptions sit elsewhere in the catalog: puff DTF has a 10 unit minimum, custom UV DTF has a $35 order minimum, and leatherette patches are 10 per shape and color.
How fast can our group get transfers from Huntington to Hempstead?
Place the order by 3 PM Eastern on a business day and it is printed and handed to the carrier that same day. Transit is separate: 2 to 5 business days standard, 1 to 3 expedited. Faster routes are pickup at the Huntington shop by appointment, or the $19.99 flat-rate local courier that appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses.
What do 50 left chest logos cost for a community group?
A 4 by 4 inch logo is 16 square inches, so $0.96 each and $48.00 for 50. Contour cutting them to shape adds $0.29 per transfer, another $14.50. At $48 the order sits under the $99 free shipping threshold, so either pay shipping or fold the back prints into the same order.
What artwork file should our designer send?
A 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background, sized at the final print dimensions. If all you have is a logo on a white square, the browser-based background knockout tool on the site will strip it. The per square inch pricing calculator, the drag-and-drop gang sheet builder and a catalog of 2,434 ready-to-print designs are there too.
We want an embroidered look on polos. Is that same day as well?
No. Fauxbroidery, raised UV patches, dimensional UV graphics and luxury branding transfers run 48 hours, because the cure and build stages are additive. Leatherette patches and puff DTF run 72 hours. Standard DTF, UV DTF and gang sheets are the same-day products, so budget an extra day or two for the specialty items.
