DTF Transfers for Gyms and Fitness Studios in Roosevelt, NY

Long Island DTF Printing supplies gyms, strength facilities, boutique studios and independent coaches in Roosevelt with heat transfers at $0.06 per square inch and no minimum on standard DTF. An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same day. Transit is separate: 2 to 5 business days standard.

The order mix behind a gym's apparel calendar

A gym's print calendar is rarely one big order. It is a series of small repeating ones. Coaches and front-desk staff need left-chest tees and hoodies, usually 8 to 15 pieces per style. A retail shelf moves in runs of 24 to 48 per design, and the designs rotate rather than restock forever. Challenge cohorts and in-house competitions run 20 to 40 shirts at a time with a fixed date attached. Signup waves in January and again in September pull both staff and member apparel forward, which means December and August are when the artwork needs to be finished. There is no minimum on standard DTF transfers, so a 10 piece reorder is a normal order here.

Running the numbers on coach tees, retail tanks and challenge shirts

Standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch of the design's bounding box, so you can price a run before you order. A 3.5 by 3.5 inch left chest is 12.25 square inches, about $0.74, so 12 coach shirts is $8.82. Add an 11 by 4 inch back bar at 44 square inches, $2.64 each, $31.68 for the twelve. A 9 by 11 inch tank front is 99 square inches, $5.94, so 24 retail tanks is $142.56. A 30 shirt challenge run with a 10 by 12 inch front is $7.20 each, $216.00, plus a 3 by 3 inch sleeve hit at $0.54, another $16.20. Free shipping starts at $99, which is 1,650 square inches. Contour cutting adds $0.29 per transfer.

When a 14 inch gang sheet beats loose transfers, and when it does not

DTF gang sheets are 14 inches wide in fixed lengths: 14x18 at $15.12, 14x24 at $20.16, 14x36 at $30.24, 14x48 at $40.32, 14x54 at $45.36 and 14x72 at $60.48. The rate is the same $0.06 per square inch, but it is charged on the sheet, not on your artwork, and designs need at least 0.25 inch of spacing. A 14x36 is 504 square inches for $30.24. Fill it and you paid the loose transfer rate. Pack it to 70 percent and you paid $30.24 for roughly $21 of artwork. One repeated shape is almost always cheaper as separate transfers. Sheets earn their keep on mixed runs: one piece to store, one piece to cut down, with the drag-and-drop builder or the auto-build packer doing the nesting.

Pressing DTF on poly tanks and moisture-wicking tees

Gym apparel is mostly polyester and poly-spandex, which presses cooler than cotton. Run 285 to 300 F on polyester and performance blends, 300 to 325 F on cotton, 10 to 15 seconds, medium-firm pressure. Keep hems, seams and tank straps off the platen so pressure stays even across the graphic. Applied to spec, the transfer holds through 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F, which matters when a member trains in the shirt and washes it the same night. Send artwork as a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background, built at the final print size. If your logo only exists as a JPG from a sign vendor, the free background knockout tool on the site strips it in the browser.

UV DTF for bottles, shakers, mirrors and locker fronts

Studios brand more than shirts. UV DTF transfers are $0.10 per square inch and go on hard goods: a 3 by 3 inch badge for a member water bottle is $0.90, so 50 bottles is $45.00, and a 9.5 by 4 inch tumbler wrap is $3.80. UV DTF gang sheets are 24 inches wide. Die-cut vinyl stickers are $0.22 per square inch, so a 2 by 2 inch sticker is $0.88. Standard UV DTF ships same business day like standard DTF. The specialty builds do not, because the cure and build stages are additive: raised UV patches and dimensional UV graphics are 48 hours, leatherette patches and puff DTF are 72 hours. Custom UV DTF carries a $35 order minimum.

Getting transfers to Roosevelt before a Saturday kickoff

Roosevelt sits in Nassau County, and there are three ways the transfers reach you. Carrier is the default: free shipping at $99 and up in the contiguous US, 2 to 5 business days standard, 1 to 3 expedited. Local pickup is same business day after production, by appointment, at 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1, Huntington, NY 11743. A $19.99 flat-rate same-day local courier option appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses. The cutoff is 3 PM Eastern and production runs Monday to Friday. For a Saturday kickoff, ordering by 3 PM Monday puts standard transit between Wednesday and the following Monday, so if the date cannot move, choose expedited or pick up in Huntington. Call 631-458-3842 with questions.

Who orders from Roosevelt

Strength and conditioning gym owners

Coach hoodies with a left-chest mark, member tees, and PR or challenge shirts tied to a fixed date. No minimum on standard DTF means you reorder the 12 pieces that actually sold instead of sitting on 72.

Boutique studio managers with a retail shelf

Spin, barre, yoga and pilates studios rotating small runs of 24 to 48 tanks and crops on poly-spandex. Press at 285 to 300 F, reorder a winner the same week, and drop a design that stalls.

Independent trainers and online coaches

Ten shirts, one logo, no minimum on standard DTF. A 3.5 by 3.5 inch left chest is 12.25 square inches at $0.06, about $0.74 per transfer, so a starter run is a small line on the invoice.

Martial arts and boxing academies

Program and rank shirts, event tees for in-house cards, and gear bag branding. Polyester rash guards and performance tees press at 285 to 300 F for 10 to 15 seconds with medium-firm pressure.

Roosevelt questions

Is there a minimum order for gym shirts or coach staff runs?
No. Standard DTF transfers have no minimum, so a 6 piece coach run and a 48 piece retail run are both normal orders at $0.06 per square inch. Minimums exist only on a few specialty items: puff DTF is 10 units, custom UV DTF has a $35 order minimum, and leatherette patches are 10 per shape and color.
Will DTF crack on moisture-wicking gym shirts?
Not when it is pressed to spec. Polyester and performance blends want 285 to 300 F, 10 to 15 seconds, medium-firm pressure. Cotton wants 300 to 325 F. Applied that way the transfer is rated for 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F. Most failures on athletic fabric come from running cotton temperatures on poly.
Can a Roosevelt gym get transfers the same day it orders?
We ship same business day, which is not same-day delivery. An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that day at no extra cost. Transit is separate: 2 to 5 business days standard, 1 to 3 expedited. Faster options are pickup in Huntington by appointment, or the $19.99 local courier if it appears at checkout for your address.
For a 30 shirt challenge run, is a gang sheet cheaper than separate transfers?
No, at that size separate transfers win. A 10 by 12 inch front is 120 square inches, $7.20 each, $216.00 for 30. On a 14 inch wide sheet only one 12 inch tall design fits per row, so a 14x72 sheet at $60.48 holds five, which works out to $12.10 a shirt. Gang sheets pay off on mixed small pieces that fill the sheet.
What file should I send if my gym logo is a JPG with a white background?
Send a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background, built at the final print size. A JPG cannot hold transparency, so a white box prints around the logo. The free background knockout tool on our site runs in the browser and removes it for you. There is also a catalog of 2,434 ready-to-print designs for event and challenge shirts.
