DTF Transfers for North Patchogue Salons, Barbers and Tattoo Studios

Long Island DTF Printing ships heat transfers to North Patchogue for shops that run on chairs: salons, barbershops and tattoo studios in the Town of Brookhaven. Standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch of the design's bounding box with no minimum order, so eight staff aprons cost what eight aprons cost. Order by 3 PM Eastern on a business day and it ships that day.

A chair count is not a bulk order

A salon floor is not a bulk buyer. Eight stylists means eight smocks, maybe a dozen aprons, and a small rack of retail tees that has to sell before anyone reorders. Barbershops order in the same shape: staff shirts for the people cutting, plus hoodies and caps for the wall behind the counter. Tattoo studios split differently again. The shop mark goes on staff wear, and each artist wants their own flash on something they can sell at the front desk. All of it is short runs of many designs rather than 144 of one. Standard DTF has no minimum, so a run of three is an ordinary order here, not an exception.

What a left chest, a name strip and a full back actually cost

Price is the bounding box of the art times $0.06. A 3.5 by 3.5 inch left chest logo is 12.25 square inches, so $0.74. A 4 by 1 inch name strip under it is 4 square inches, so $0.24. Kitting out eight stylists with a logo and a name is $7.84 in transfers before you buy a single smock. Retail is where the number moves. An 11 by 14 inch back print is 154 square inches, so $9.24, and 25 hoodies with a back and a chest come to $249.50 in transfers. There is no screen and no setup charge, so 25 different artist names cost exactly what 25 identical ones cost.

Gang sheets when every stylist needs a different name

Gang sheets bill on sheet area, not on your art. A 14 by 24 inch sheet is 336 square inches at $0.06, which is $20.16 whether you fill it or leave it half empty. Packing is the whole game. A 3.5 inch logo needs 0.25 inch clearance, so three fit across the 14 inch width and six rows run down a 24 inch sheet: 18 chest logos on one sheet. Drop name strips into the gaps and you are using length you already paid for. For one small logo on its own, an individual transfer priced on its bounding box is usually cheaper. Sheets run 14 inches wide in fixed lengths, 14x18 at $15.12 up to 14x72 at $60.48.

Pressing smocks, capes and retail tees are two different settings

Press spec is 300 to 325 F for cotton, 285 to 300 F for polyester, 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure. That split matters more in a salon than in most shops, because the staff wear is rarely cotton. Smocks, capes and stretch performance tops are usually polyester or a poly blend, so run the lower band and watch dark colors for scorch. The cotton retail tees take the higher band. Durability is 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F when applied to spec. That is a laundering test, not a chemistry test, so anything living in color, bleach or developer should be pressed once and tested before you commit the run.

Flash art, fine lines and files that hold up at print size

Send a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background, built at final print size. Sizing at the end is where tattoo art fails. A flash sheet scanned for a portfolio is judged on a screen, and when it is scaled up to an 11 inch back print the hairlines that looked solid at thumbnail size are no longer solid. Open the file at 100 percent at print size and look before you send it. Stipple and whip shading come through fine when the file was built at that size. If the art has a white background baked in, the browser-based knockout tool on the site strips it, and the pricing calculator quotes the bounding box before you order.

Getting the box to Brookhaven

North Patchogue sits in the Town of Brookhaven, Suffolk County. Our only facility is 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1, Huntington NY 11743, so nothing is dropped off or collected in North Patchogue itself. Orders placed by 3 PM Eastern, Monday to Friday, are printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. Shipping is free at $99 and up in the contiguous US, standard transit 2 to 5 business days, expedited 1 to 3. Same-day shipping is not same-day delivery. If you need it sooner, pickup in Huntington is available by appointment the same business day after production, and a $19.99 flat-rate courier option appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses.

Who orders from North Patchogue

Salon owners outfitting a floor

Logo and stylist name on smocks and aprons, reordered one at a time as people join or leave. No minimum on standard DTF means a single replacement set costs about a dollar in transfers.

Barbershops with a retail wall

Full back prints on hoodies and chest marks on tees, ordered in twenties rather than hundreds. Order by 3 PM Eastern and the box is with the carrier that day, so the wall refills before the weekend.

Tattoo artists selling their own flash

Each artist prints their own designs on shirts for the front desk. Because pricing is per square inch with no setup fee, ten designs at three shirts each costs the same as thirty of one design.

Booth renters and independent stylists

One person, one logo, a handful of garments. Send a 300 DPI transparent PNG at print size, press at 285 to 300 F for poly smocks, and skip the minimums that screen printers apply.

North Patchogue questions

Can I order transfers for just three shirts for my North Patchogue salon?
Yes. Standard DTF transfers have no minimum order, so three is a normal order. Mixed art is fine too: three different stylist names in one order costs no more per piece, because there is no screen or setup cost to spread out. Minimums exist elsewhere in the catalog, puff DTF at 10 units and leatherette patches at 10 per shape and color, but not on standard DTF.
What does a barbershop logo on the back of a hoodie cost?
Price is the bounding box at $0.06 per square inch. An 11 by 14 inch back print is 154 square inches, so $9.24. Add a 3.5 by 3.5 inch left chest at $0.74 and you are at $9.98 per hoodie in transfers. Twenty five hoodies works out to $249.50. Blanks and pressing are on your side; we supply the transfers.
Will the print survive color, bleach and developer in a working salon?
The durability spec is 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F when the transfer is applied at the press spec. That is a laundering test, not a chemical one. Color, bleach and developer are not part of it. If the garment is a working cape, smock or towel, press one piece and test it against your own chemistry before running the rest.
Do you deliver to North Patchogue or do I pick up in Huntington?
We ship. Our only location is 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1, Huntington NY 11743, and there is no drop-off point in North Patchogue or anywhere else in Brookhaven. Shipping is free at $99 and up, 2 to 5 business days standard. Pickup in Huntington is available by appointment, and a $19.99 flat-rate local courier option shows at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses.
Can I get an embroidered look on smocks or patches for barber aprons?
Yes, on a longer clock. Fauxbroidery gives an embroidery look without digitizing and runs 48 hours. Leatherette patches for aprons and caps run 72 hours with a minimum of 10 per shape and color, and puff DTF is 72 hours with a 10 unit minimum. Standard DTF, UV DTF and gang sheets are the same-day products.
