DTF Transfer Printing for Queens, NY Shops and Community Groups

Long Island DTF Printing supplies ready-to-press DTF transfers to independent retailers and community organizations across Queens County. We do not have a location in Queens. We print in Huntington, hand every order placed by 3 PM Eastern to the carrier that same business day, and hold pickup appointments for anyone willing to make the trip. Pricing is $0.06 per square inch, with no minimum.

No minimum on standard DTF, which is what a five-shirt run needs

Family-run retail and community organizations rarely order 144 of anything. The order is six staff shirts, twelve volunteer tees for a weekend, three aprons for the counter, a dozen totes to sell by the register. Standard DTF transfers have no minimum here, so a run of four is priced exactly the way a run of four hundred is: $0.06 per square inch of the design's bounding box. There are no quantity breaks, which means there are none to miss. Order what you will actually press this month, press it, and reorder when the design or the staff changes. Unpressed transfers store flat in a dark drawer, so a small buffer is cheap insurance.

The arithmetic on the sizes these orders actually use

Price is width times height times $0.06, measured on the bounding box. A 3.5 by 3.5 inch left chest logo is 12.25 square inches, so $0.74. A 4 by 4 inch organization crest is 16 square inches, $0.96. A 6 by 6 inch apron chest is $2.16. A 10 by 12 inch full front is 120 square inches, $7.20. A 12 by 16 inch back is $11.52. A 10 by 10 inch tote print is $6.00. Forty shirts with one 10 by 12 front is $288 in transfers. Free shipping starts at $99 in the contiguous US, and fourteen 10 by 12 fronts come to $100.80, so a mid-sized volunteer run clears it on its own.

When a gang sheet helps, and when it quietly costs more

Gang sheets are 14 inches wide and priced at $0.06 per square inch of sheet area, not of artwork. Same rate, different denominator, and that difference is the whole decision. Pack a 14 by 24 sheet ($20.16) with 3.5 inch left chest logos at the 0.25 inch minimum spacing and you fit three across and six down. Eighteen logos, $1.12 each. Ordered as individual transfers those same logos are $0.74 each. A sheet only breaks even when you fill it edge to edge. What it genuinely buys you is handling: one file, one sheet, many different designs, cut as you go. For a shop carrying six designs at five shirts each, that is worth the packing loss. For forty copies of one big front, order individual transfers.

Artwork files, including type that is not set in Latin script

Send a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background, built at final print size. We print the file as supplied and do not re-typeset it, which is the useful part when the artwork carries Arabic, Korean, Chinese, Cyrillic, Bengali or accented Spanish type. There is no font substitution step to go wrong because there are no live fonts in the file, only pixels. Outline or rasterize before export, keep roughly 0.1 inch of clear space around thin strokes, and check that small counters in dense scripts are still open at 300 DPI. If a logo only exists as a low-resolution web file, the free background knockout tool on the site will clean the edge, but it cannot add resolution.

Getting transfers into Queens County, and the Huntington pickup option

An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. That is the standard service for every customer. It is not an upgrade and there is no rush fee. Orders placed after 3 PM Eastern, on a weekend or on a federal holiday ship the next business day, and production runs Monday to Friday. Same-day shipping is not same-day delivery: standard domestic transit is 2 to 5 business days and expedited is 1 to 3. Shipping is free at $99 and up in the contiguous US. If you would rather skip transit entirely, pickup is available by appointment at 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1, Huntington, NY 11743.

Pressing onto the blanks retail and volunteer runs actually use

Cotton presses at 300 to 325 F, polyester at 285 to 300 F, both for 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure. The polyester number matters for performance tees and for the poly-blend aprons and tote bags that shop merch leans on. Canvas totes take cotton settings but want a firm platen and a second press through a cover sheet if the weave telegraphs through. Caps need a curved hat platen, not a flat press. Applied to spec, a standard DTF transfer holds 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104F. Test one piece from each new blank style before committing the run, because coatings and dye lots vary between shipments even within the same style number.

Who orders from Queens

Family-run retail shops

Counter staff shirts, aprons and a small shelf of branded totes or tees to sell. Typical order is four to twenty transfers across two or three sizes, reordered when the design or the crew changes.

Community organizations and volunteer groups

Event tees, volunteer shirts and program apparel in runs of ten to fifty. One front design at 10 by 12 inches costs $7.20 per shirt in transfers, priced the same whether you order twelve or a hundred.

Shops that press but do not print

If you already own a heat press and want to stop outsourcing finished garments, order transfers by the square inch and press on demand. No minimum means you can quote a job before you buy anything.

Market and pop-up sellers

Small batches of multiple designs, which is exactly the case for a gang sheet. One 14 by 36 sheet at $30.24 can carry several different graphics, cut apart as each one sells through.

Queens questions

Do you have a DTF printing shop in Queens?
No. Our only location is 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1, Huntington, NY 11743. We serve Queens County by shipping, and orders placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day go to the carrier the same day. If you would rather collect in person, pickup is available by appointment at the Huntington facility once production finishes.
Can I order just five or six transfers?
Yes. Standard DTF transfers have no minimum order. Five 3.5 by 3.5 inch left chest logos is 12.25 square inches each at $0.06, so $0.74 apiece, $3.70 for the set. Some specialty items do carry minimums: puff DTF is 10 units, leatherette patches are 10 per shape and color, and custom UV DTF has a $35 order minimum.
If I order this afternoon, when will the transfers reach Queens?
If the order is in before 3 PM Eastern on a business day, it is printed, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. Transit is separate: 2 to 5 business days standard, 1 to 3 expedited. Orders after 3 PM Eastern, on a weekend or on a federal holiday ship the next business day.
Is a gang sheet cheaper than ordering individual transfers?
Usually not. Both are $0.06 per square inch, but a gang sheet charges for the whole sheet area including the gaps. Eighteen 3.5 inch logos on a 14 by 24 sheet work out to $1.12 each versus $0.74 each ordered individually. Use gang sheets when you want many different designs on one file, not to save money.
Will my logo print correctly if the text is not in English?
Yes, because we print your PNG exactly as supplied. There are no live fonts in the file, so nothing can substitute or reflow. Export at 300 DPI with a transparent background at final print size, outline or rasterize the type first, and confirm that tight counters in dense scripts stay open at that resolution.
