DTF Transfers for Gyms and Fitness Studios in Massapequa Park, NY

Gyms and fitness studios in Massapequa Park order apparel on a schedule: staff shirts when a coach is hired, cohort shirts when a challenge opens, member merch when the front desk runs out. Long Island DTF Printing prints those transfers at $0.06 per square inch with no minimum, and anything ordered by 3 PM Eastern on a business day ships that same day.

Three order shapes every gym ends up running

The orders split into three shapes. Staff apparel: a left-chest logo at roughly 3.5 by 3 inches, sometimes a coach name on the upper back, run in counts of six to fifteen. Cohort apparel: one design, one size, run across a whole challenge group, usually twenty to sixty tees and tanks. Member merch: a larger front or back hit, eleven by fourteen inches or so, restocked in small batches so you are not sitting on dead inventory. Because there is no minimum on standard DTF transfers, you can print six for a new hire in March and forty in June without changing anything about how you order.

What a coaching staff run and a cohort run actually cost

Price is the bounding box of the design, not the shirt. A 3.5 by 3 inch left-chest logo is 10.5 square inches, so $0.63 per transfer. Ten coaches is $6.30. A 2 by 9 inch sleeve strip is 18 square inches, $1.08. An 11 by 14 inch back print is 154 square inches, $9.24. A forty-person challenge run with an 8 by 10 inch front hit (80 square inches, $4.80 each) comes to $192 in transfers. Contour cutting, if you want them pre-cut instead of trimmed by hand, adds $0.29 per transfer. The pricing calculator on the site runs this arithmetic against your actual file.

Gang sheets for gyms: you are paying for the whitespace

A 14 inch wide gang sheet is priced on sheet area at the same $0.06, so 14 by 18 is $15.12 and 14 by 36 is $30.24. That means whitespace is the only price difference between a gang sheet and a stack of individual transfers. Ordering a repeated left-chest logo on its own is usually cheaper, because you pay for 10.5 square inches instead of the sheet around it. Gang sheets earn their keep when the sizes are mixed: back prints, chest logos and sleeve strips packed onto one sheet you cut down at the press. Minimum spacing is 0.25 inch, and the auto-build packer closes the gaps for you.

Pressing onto performance poly and poly/spandex

Gym apparel is mostly polyester and poly/spandex, not cotton, so the press settings change. Polyester runs 285 to 300 F, cotton runs 300 to 325 F, both at 10 to 15 seconds with medium-firm pressure. Run one test shirt from the same dye lot before you press the batch, especially on dark poly, and judge it after it cools rather than while it is hot. Placement matters as much as heat on stretch fabric: put transfers where the garment does not move much, like the upper chest, upper back and sleeve, and keep them smaller on leggings and sports bras. Applied to spec, transfers hold 50+ commercial wash cycles at 104 F.

Working backward from a challenge launch date

Same-day shipping is the standard service here, not an upgrade and not a fee. Place the order by 3 PM Eastern on a business day and it is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that day. After 3 PM, on a weekend or on a federal holiday, it goes out the next business day. Production runs Monday to Friday. Shipping same day is not delivery same day: standard transit is 2 to 5 business days, expedited 1 to 3. So count back from your first session date, add transit, add a day for pressing, and order before the cutoff. Artwork should be a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background at final print size.

Three ways a Nassau County gym takes delivery

Massapequa Park sits in Nassau County, which gives you three ways to take delivery. Ship it: free on orders $99 and up in the contiguous US, 2 to 5 business days standard or 1 to 3 expedited. Pick it up: our facility at 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1 in Huntington does pickup the same business day after production, by appointment. Or check the $19.99 flat-rate local courier option, which appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses. A forty-shirt cohort run at $4.80 a transfer clears the $99 free shipping line on its own, so shipping is often the simplest choice.

Who orders from Massapequa Park

Boutique studio owners with a small coaching staff

You hire two coaches in March and three more in June. No minimum means you print exactly five left-chest logos at $0.63 each instead of buying a case of pre-printed shirts you will not use.

Strength gyms running challenge cohorts

One design, one run, twenty to sixty tees and tanks. An 8 by 10 inch front hit is $4.80 per transfer, so a forty-person cohort is $192 in transfers and clears free shipping on its own.

Martial arts and combat sports academies

Rank shirts, seminar tees and academy hoodies, mostly on polyester. Press at 285 to 300 F, keep the hits off high-stretch panels, and reorder in small batches as new students come through the door.

Independent trainers launching their own label

No minimum and $0.06 per square inch means you can test three designs on six shirts each before committing. Press them yourself, see what moves at the front desk, then reorder the winner.

Massapequa Park questions

Do you deliver DTF transfers to Massapequa Park, or do I have to drive to Huntington?
Both work. Standard shipping is free on orders $99 and up in the contiguous US, with 2 to 5 business day transit or 1 to 3 expedited. A $19.99 flat-rate local courier option appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses. Pickup is available at our Huntington facility the same business day after production, by appointment.
What press settings should I use for DTF on polyester gym shirts?
285 to 300 F for polyester, 10 to 15 seconds, medium-firm pressure. Cotton runs hotter at 300 to 325 F. The lower polyester range is deliberate, so press one test shirt from the same dye lot before committing the batch, and judge the result after it has cooled rather than while it is still warm.
Will DTF transfers hold up on shirts that get washed after every workout?
Applied to press spec, standard DTF transfers hold 50+ commercial wash cycles at 104 F. Gym apparel gets washed far more often than most merch, so placement helps: keep transfers off high-stretch panels, sit them on the upper chest, upper back or sleeve, and size them down on leggings and sports bras.
Can I order transfers for just six staff shirts?
Yes. There is no minimum on standard DTF transfers. Six left-chest logos at 3.5 by 3 inches is 10.5 square inches each, $0.63 apiece, $3.78 total. A few specialty items do carry minimums: puff DTF is 10 units, leatherette patches are 10 per shape and color, and custom UV DTF has a $35 order minimum.
How soon can I have transfers in hand for a challenge or bootcamp launch?
Order by 3 PM Eastern on a business day and your standard DTF transfers ship that same business day. Transit is separate: 2 to 5 business days standard, 1 to 3 expedited. Work backward from your first session date, add transit and a day for pressing, and order before the cutoff. Specialty UV items run 48 or 72 hours.
