DTF Transfers for East Massapequa Salons, Barbers and Tattoo Studios
Salons, barbers and tattoo studios order the same way: small counts, a lot of different marks, and a reorder every time someone new takes a chair. Standard DTF transfers are $0.06 per square inch with no minimum, so a run of six is a real order. Place it by 3 PM Eastern on a business day and it ships that day.
Small counts, many marks, constant reorders
A five-chair shop does not need 144 shirts. It needs six staff tees now, four more when someone new starts, and a one-off for a guest artist next week. Standard DTF has no minimum order, so a sheet of six left-chest logos is a normal order here, not a favor. You keep the transfers in a drawer and press them onto whatever blank the person actually wears. That is the part that matters in a chair-rental shop: the artwork is bought once, the garment decision happens later, and nothing sits in a box in the back room going stale in the wrong sizes.
What a staff tee actually costs, worked out
Price is the bounding box of the design at $0.06 per square inch. A 3.5 by 3.5 inch left-chest mark is 12.25 square inches, so $0.74. An 11 by 14 inch back print is 154 square inches, so $9.24. A 2 by 8 inch sleeve strip is $0.96. Twelve shirts with a left chest and a full back is 12 times $9.98, or $119.70, which clears the $99 free shipping threshold on its own. Left-chest marks alone for twelve is only $8.82, so bundle those with a back print, a sticker run or a UV order rather than shipping them by themselves.
Gang sheets when every artist has a different mark
DTF gang sheets are 14 inches wide at fixed lengths: 14x18 is $15.12, 14x24 is $20.16, 14x36 is $30.24, and 14x72 is $60.48. You pay for sheet area, so a half-empty sheet is money left on the table. Minimum spacing between designs is 0.25 inch. A 4 by 4 inch artist mark therefore needs a 4.25 inch pitch: three across the 14 inch width, four down an 18 inch sheet, twelve marks on the $15.12 sheet. For uniform squares, ordering individual transfers is usually tighter. Gang sheets earn their keep nesting a long banner logo beside small marks and odd shapes. The auto-build packer does the nesting for you.
UV DTF for mirrors, retail bottles and station glass
UV DTF is the one for hard surfaces: station mirrors, retail and aftercare bottles, jars, tool cases, front-of-house glass. It is $0.10 per square inch and applies with pressure rather than heat. A 2 by 3 inch bottle label is $0.60. A 3 by 3 inch mirror mark is $0.90. Custom UV DTF carries a $35 order minimum, which works out to 350 square inches, so batch it: a set of bottle labels plus mirror decals plus a door mark in one go rather than six at a time. UV DTF gang sheets run 24 inches wide. Raised UV patches and dimensional UV builds are 48 hours because the cure stages are additive.
Pressing on capes, poly tees and heavyweight cotton
Cotton presses at 300 to 325 F. Polyester and poly blends go at 285 to 300 F. Either way, 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure. Capes, smocks and wicking shirts are usually the poly end, so drop the temperature and test one before running the batch, because scorch on a dark synthetic does not come out. Applied to spec, the transfer holds 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F, which is the number that matters for aprons and capes that go through the machine constantly. Send artwork as a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background at final print size. If your logo only exists on a white square, run it through the free background knockout tool first.
Getting transfers to East Massapequa
We print at 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1 in Huntington, NY, and that is our only location. Three ways to receive an order in Nassau County. Ship it: free on orders $99 and up in the contiguous US, 2 to 5 business days standard, 1 to 3 expedited. Pick it up: same business day after production, by appointment, at the Huntington facility. Or check the $19.99 flat-rate local courier option, which appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses. Same-day shipping is not same-day delivery. A 3 PM order goes to the carrier that afternoon, but transit is still transit, and production runs Monday to Friday only.

East Massapequa questions
- If I order transfers this afternoon, when do they ship?
- Standard DTF transfers, UV DTF and gang sheets placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day are printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. That is the standard service, not an upgrade or a rush fee. After 3 PM, or on a weekend or federal holiday, it ships the next business day. Transit is separate: 2 to 5 business days standard.
- Is there a minimum order for a shop with only five chairs?
- No minimum on standard DTF transfers, so six left-chest logos is a valid order. A 3.5 inch square mark is $0.74 each at $0.06 per square inch. Minimums exist elsewhere in the catalog: puff DTF is 10 units, leatherette patches are 10 per shape and color, and custom UV DTF has a $35 order minimum.
- Can I put my logo on the station mirrors and the bottles I retail?
- Yes, that is UV DTF at $0.10 per square inch. It bonds to glass, plastic and metal with pressure instead of heat, so mirrors, shampoo and aftercare bottles, jars and tool cases all work. A 3 by 3 inch mark is $0.90. Custom UV DTF has a $35 order minimum, so batch a mirror set and a bottle run together.
- How do I press a logo onto a polyester barber cape or a wicking shirt?
- Use the polyester band, 285 to 300 F, for 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure, not the 300 to 325 F you would use on cotton. Synthetics scorch and that mark is permanent, so press one piece first and check it. Applied to spec, the transfer survives 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F.
- Can I pick up in Huntington instead of shipping to East Massapequa?
- Yes. Local pickup is same business day after production, by appointment, at 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1 in Huntington, NY. There is also a $19.99 flat-rate local courier option that appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses. Otherwise shipping is free on orders $99 and up, 2 to 5 business days standard.
