DTF Transfers for Churches and Community Groups in North Bay Shore, NY
Long Island DTF Printing ships heat transfers to North Bay Shore and the rest of the Town of Islip from our shop in Huntington, NY. Churches, ministries, volunteer corps and community groups order here because pricing is flat at $0.06 per square inch, there is no minimum, and an order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day goes to the carrier that day.
Ministry orders, priced by the square inch
Standard DTF transfers are $0.06 per square inch of the design's bounding box, and there is no minimum. A 3.5 by 3.5 inch left chest logo is 12.25 square inches, so $0.74 each. An 11 by 14 inch full back print is 154 square inches, $9.24. Both on one shirt puts you at $9.98 in transfers per garment, before the blank. Sixty shirts for a summer program: $598.80. A 2 by 11 inch sleeve strip carrying a date or a verse adds 22 square inches, $1.32. Color count does not change the price, so a four color crest and a single color wordmark of the same size cost exactly the same.
Gang sheets when one order covers several groups
DTF gang sheets are 14 inches wide at fixed lengths: 14x18 $15.12, 14x24 $20.16, 14x36 $30.24, 14x48 $40.32, 14x54 $45.36, 14x72 $60.48. Same $0.06 rate, charged on sheet area instead of each bounding box, with a 0.25 inch minimum gap between designs. On a 14x36 you can run three 3.5 inch chest logos across (3.5 plus 0.25 spacing is 3.75, and three fit inside 14 inches) and nine rows down, so 27 logos for $30.24. You pay for the whole sheet either way, so only order one you intend to fill. Mixed art is where it earns its keep: choir, ushers, youth group and pantry volunteers on one sheet, cut apart at your own table.
Working back from the Sunday you need them
An order in by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. That is the standard service, not an upgrade and not a rush fee. After 3 PM, or on a weekend or federal holiday, it ships the next business day, and production runs Monday to Friday. Same-day shipping is not same-day delivery. Standard transit is 2 to 5 business days, expedited 1 to 3. For a Sunday event, pick the weekday your volunteers will press, count back five business days, and place the order by 3 PM Eastern that morning. Puff and leatherette patches run 72 hours, raised UV and fauxbroidery 48, so start those earlier.
Pressing onto donated and mixed garment lots
Group orders rarely arrive as one clean case of blanks. Sort the pile by fabric before anyone touches the press. Cotton takes 300 to 325 F, polyester 285 to 300 F, both at 10 to 15 seconds with medium-firm pressure. Run the poly at the low end or you will scorch panels and chase dye migration on reds and royals. Applied to spec the print holds 50-plus commercial wash cycles at 104 F, which is what you want when the same shirt goes back on every week through a season. Test one garment from each fabric type in the lot before committing the run. Tote bags and fleece press the same way, just watch seam and zipper clearance.
Getting the box to North Bay Shore
We print in Huntington, NY, and that is our only location. Three ways to receive an order: free shipping on $99 and up anywhere in the contiguous US, with standard transit of 2 to 5 business days and expedited 1 to 3; pickup at the Huntington facility the same business day after production, by appointment; or a $19.99 flat-rate local courier option that appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses. North Bay Shore is in the Town of Islip, Suffolk County, so check whether the courier option comes up at checkout rather than assuming it. A single 60 shirt run clears the $99 free shipping line without effort.
Artwork when the file came from a volunteer
We need a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background at final print size. Most group logos arrive as a JPG sitting on a white box, pulled from an old bulletin or a website. The browser-based background knockout tool on the site strips that white and hands you a transparent PNG. The pricing calculator runs the per-square-inch math before you commit, and the gang sheet builder, including the auto-build packer, lays the sheet out for you. If nobody has a usable file at all, the catalog of 2,434 ready-to-print designs covers a lot of service, volunteer and seasonal artwork. Report a defective or incorrect order within 7 days of delivery with photos and we reprint production defects.
Who orders from North Bay Shore
Congregations and ministry teams
Chest crests for ushers and greeters, full back prints for youth retreats, sleeve strips carrying a date or verse. No minimum, so a team of eight and a program of eighty are priced the same per square inch.
Volunteer and service organizations
Identifiable shirts for food drives, cleanup days and outreach shifts. One 14x36 gang sheet at $30.24 holds 27 chest logos, enough to badge several volunteer crews out of a single order and one line item.
Youth programs and summer day camps
Youth-size back prints around 10x12 run $7.20 in transfers each. Counselor shirts, camper shirts and tote bags can share one sheet, and mid-session reorders for late signups carry no minimum.
Civic and cultural associations
Anniversary shirts, fundraiser walk apparel and committee polos. If a design runs in two languages, that is two transfers or two placements nested on the same sheet, priced on area rather than color count.
North Bay Shore questions
- How much would 80 shirts for our summer youth program cost?
- Standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch of the bounding box. A 10 by 12 inch back print is 120 square inches, so $7.20, and a 3.5 inch chest logo adds $0.74. That is $7.94 per shirt in transfers, or $635.20 for 80. Color count does not change it.
- Can we order ten more youth sizes after the first batch?
- Yes. There is no minimum on standard DTF transfers, so a reorder of ten, or of one, is priced at the same $0.06 per square inch. Send the same file. If the reorder is in by 3 PM Eastern on a business day it is handed to the carrier that day.
- We press a mix of cotton tees and polyester performance shirts. Same settings?
- No. Cotton runs 300 to 325 F, polyester 285 to 300 F, both at 10 to 15 seconds with medium-firm pressure. Sort the lot by fabric and press the poly batch at the lower end. Test one garment per fabric first. Applied to spec, prints hold 50-plus commercial wash cycles at 104 F.
- Our logo is a low-resolution JPG with a white background. Can you use it?
- Not as is. We need a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background at final print size. The free background knockout tool on the site strips the white box in your browser. Resolution is the harder half: a small JPG blown up to an 11 inch back print will look soft, so track down the original file first.
- Can someone from North Bay Shore pick the order up instead of shipping?
- Yes, at 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1, Huntington, NY 11743, by appointment, the same business day after production. Otherwise shipping is free on orders of $99 and up in the contiguous US, 2 to 5 business days standard. A $19.99 flat-rate courier option also appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses.
