DTF Transfers for Ronkonkoma, NY Work Crews and Small Shops

Ronkonkoma is in Suffolk County, and the mix there (light industry plus small commuter-facing storefronts) points at one job more than any other: workwear. Crew shirts, hi-vis, aprons and hoodies, in runs of four to forty rather than four hundred. Standard DTF transfers are $0.06 per square inch with no minimum, and an order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day ships the same business day.

What a workwear order looks like on the film

The standing pattern for a crew is three pieces of art. A left chest logo at about 4 by 3 inches, a back panel at about 11 by 4 inches carrying the company name and trade, and sometimes a 3 by 1 inch name strip. Those go on cotton tees in summer, hi-vis polyester on site, hooded fleece from October, and canvas aprons for counter work. Quantities are small and they repeat: four shirts for two new hires, then twelve more when a contract lands. There is no minimum on standard DTF transfers, so a two-transfer reorder is a real order and runs through production the same way a forty-piece job does.

The maths on a 24 person crew

Standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch of the design's bounding box, so you can price a job before you open a cart. A 4 by 3 left chest is 12 square inches, or $0.72. An 11 by 4 back panel is 44 square inches, or $2.64. Chest and back together is $3.36 per shirt. Twenty-four shirts is $80.64. Add 3 by 1 inch name strips at $0.18 each and you are at $84.96. Free shipping starts at $99 in the contiguous US, so a 30 shirt run at $100.80 clears it on its own. The pricing calculator on the site runs the same sum if you would rather type sizes in.

Hi-vis polyester needs a different press setting than the tees

Press spec is 300 to 325 F for cotton, 285 to 300 F for polyester, 10 to 15 seconds, medium-firm pressure. Hi-vis and performance polyester belong at the low end, near 285 F, or you risk scorching and dye migration on those bright grounds. Canvas aprons and cotton tees take the 300 to 325 F range. Applied to spec, the transfer is rated for 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F. That is the tested number, stated plainly. If the shirts go through a hot industrial laundry cycle well above 104 F, you are outside what was tested, so run one sample piece through your actual wash first.

Reorders for counter staff and storefront teams

The other half of this buyer orders in sixes. Six aprons for the counter, a dozen tees for a weekend, four polos because someone starts Monday. An 8 by 8 inch front print is 64 square inches, or $3.84 per piece, so six aprons is $23.04 in transfers. Because there is no minimum on standard DTF, none of that needs padding out to hit a threshold. Turn a phone-camera photo of an old shirt into usable art with the browser-based background knockout tool, or pull something from the catalog of 2,434 ready-to-print designs. Art should arrive as a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background, sized at final print size.

Gang sheets save handling, not money

Worth being straight about this one. DTF gang sheets are 14 inches wide and priced at $0.06 per square inch of sheet area, so you pay for the gaps as well as the art. A 14 by 24 sheet is $20.16 and holds 21 left chest logos at 4 by 3 inches with the required 0.25 inch spacing, about $0.96 each. The same 21 logos ordered cut to size are $15.12. The sheet wins when you want one film to cut from at the press, or when it carries a mix of names, numbers and trade badges. Use the auto-build packer to see the real fill before you commit to a length.

Cutoff, carrier and pickup

Ordered by 3 PM Eastern on a business day, your transfers are printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. That is the standard service, not a rush fee and not an upgrade. After 3 PM, on a weekend or on a federal holiday, the order ships the next business day. Production runs Monday to Friday. Same-day shipping is not same-day delivery: standard transit is 2 to 5 business days, expedited 1 to 3. Free shipping at $99 and up. Pickup is same business day after production, by appointment, at the Huntington facility. A $19.99 flat-rate local courier option appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses.

Who orders from Ronkonkoma

Warehouse and light industrial employers

Shift crews need chest and back marks on tees, hi-vis and fleece, reordered every time someone starts. No minimum means a four-piece new-hire run is normal, and the 3 PM Eastern cutoff keeps replacement shirts moving.

Trade and service contractors

Plumbing, HVAC and electrical crews branding shirts and hoodies between jobs. A 4 by 3 inch chest logo plus an 11 by 4 inch back panel is $3.36 per shirt, and a 3 by 1 inch name strip adds $0.18.

Commuter-facing counter and storefront businesses

Aprons, tees and hats for small staffs, ordered six at a time. An 8 by 8 inch front print is $3.84 per piece, and finished orders can be collected in Huntington by appointment instead of shipped.

Contract decorators pressing for industrial accounts

Shops running other people's uniform work use gang sheets to carry mixed names, numbers and trade badges on one 14 inch film, with 0.25 inch spacing and pre-cut contour cutting at $0.29 per transfer.

Ronkonkoma questions

Can I get crew shirts printed and shipped to Ronkonkoma the same day?
We ship same day, which is not the same as same-day delivery. Place the order by 3 PM Eastern on a business day and it is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that day at no extra charge. Transit is separate: 2 to 5 business days standard, 1 to 3 expedited.
What does a full crew uniform set cost per shirt?
Standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch of the bounding box. A 4 by 3 inch left chest is $0.72. An 11 by 4 inch back panel is $2.64. Together that is $3.36 per shirt, so a 24 person crew is $80.64 in transfers. Name strips at 3 by 1 inch add $0.18 each.
Will DTF hold up on hi-vis work shirts that get washed every week?
Applied per spec, transfers are rated for 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F. Press polyester at 285 to 300 F for 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure, staying near the low end for hi-vis. Hot industrial laundry runs above the tested temperature, so sample one shirt through your real wash first.
Is there a minimum order if I only need a few transfers for new hires?
No minimum on standard DTF transfers, so two pieces for one new hire is a normal order. Some specialty items do carry minimums: puff DTF is 10 units, custom UV DTF has a $35 order minimum, and leatherette patches are 10 per shape and color. Free shipping starts at $99 in the contiguous US.
Can I pick the order up instead of having it shipped?
Yes. Local pickup is the same business day after production, by appointment, at 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1, Huntington NY 11743, which is our only location. A $19.99 flat-rate local courier option also appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses. Otherwise shipping is free on orders of $99 and up.
