DTF Transfers for Stamford, CT Corporate and Retail Brands
Stamford sits in Fairfield County, where headquarters marketing teams and independent retail shops both need branded apparel on a deadline. Long Island DTF Printing prints your transfers and hands them to the carrier the same business day when the order is in by 3 PM Eastern. Standard DTF runs $0.06 per square inch with no minimum.
What a headquarters apparel program orders, and what it costs per piece
A corporate apparel program is mostly small, repeated placements. A 3.5 by 3.5 inch left chest logo is 12.25 square inches, so $0.735 per transfer, call it 74 cents. Size it up to 4 by 4 and it is 16 square inches, $0.96. A 2 by 8 inch sleeve strip is also 16 square inches, $0.96. Full back art at 11 by 14 is 154 square inches, $9.24. Pricing is on the bounding box of the design, not the garment, so tightening the box around the mark is real money at 250 pieces. There is no minimum on standard DTF, so a 40 piece department run prices the same per unit as a 400 piece one.
The 3 PM Eastern cutoff, and working backwards from a meeting date
Start from the date the shirts have to be in the room. An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. That is the standard service for everyone, not an upgrade and not a rush fee. After 3 PM, or on a weekend or federal holiday, the order ships the next business day. Production runs Monday to Friday only. Same day shipping is not same day delivery: standard transit is 2 to 5 business days, expedited is 1 to 3. For a fixed kickoff or trade show date, buy expedited transit and leave yourself a day of slack for pressing.
Gang sheet or per design: the packing maths for a repeating logo
A 14 inch wide gang sheet is priced on sheet area at $0.06 per square inch, so 14 by 36 is $30.24 and 14 by 48 is $40.32. You pay for the whitespace too, so run the packing before you assume it is cheaper. A 3.5 by 3.5 logo with the required 0.25 inch minimum spacing fits 3 across (3.5 times 3, plus two 0.25 gaps, is 11 inches) and 9 rows down a 36 inch sheet. That is 27 transfers for $30.24, about $1.12 each. Ordered as individual transfers the same logo is $0.735. Gang sheets pay off when you nest mixed sizes and shapes tightly, not when you repeat one square.
Press settings for polos, performance knits and cotton tees
Corporate programs skew to polos and performance knits, and those are the garments people scorch. Polyester presses at 285 to 300 F. Cotton takes 300 to 325 F. Both want 10 to 15 seconds at medium firm pressure. Applied to spec, the transfer holds through 50 plus commercial wash cycles at 104 F, which matters when a uniform shirt goes into a laundry rotation rather than a home machine. Press one test piece from every new run before you commit the whole box, especially when a blend is new to you. A ribbed placket or a seam near a left chest hit will rob you of pressure, so pad around it.
Retail runs without carrying inventory
A small retail shop has a different problem: you do not know which design sells. No minimum on standard DTF means you can print 12 of a design, put it on the rack, and reorder the two that move instead of eating 144 of the two that do not. Blanks stay blank until something sells. Die cut vinyl stickers are $0.22 per square inch for a counter item, and UV DTF at $0.10 per square inch goes onto mugs, tumblers and window glass with no heat at all. Restocks run on the same 3 PM Eastern cutoff, so a Friday morning reorder is with the carrier Friday afternoon.
Getting it to Fairfield County, or collecting it in Huntington
Stamford is outside our Long Island delivery area, so orders travel by carrier. Shipping is free on orders of $99 and up anywhere in the contiguous US, standard transit 2 to 5 business days, expedited 1 to 3. We ship to all 50 states and do not ship internationally. If you would rather collect a run yourself, pickup is available the same business day after production, by appointment, at 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1, Huntington, NY 11743. Call 631-458-3842 or email our order desk to set a window. Huntington is our only facility, so there is no drop off point in Fairfield County.
Who orders from Stamford
In-house marketing and brand teams at headquarters offices
You own the logo and the calendar. Order left chest and full back transfers as each department or campaign needs them, with no minimum forcing you to over-buy, and press onto whichever blank the program already standardised on.
Promotional products distributors and corporate apparel resellers
Quote a corporate account at $0.06 per square inch on the artwork bounding box, take the order, and have the transfers handed to the carrier the same business day when you place by 3 PM Eastern.
Independent retail shop owners
Print 12 of a new design instead of 144, see what actually sells off the rack, and reorder only the winners. Stickers at $0.22 per square inch and UV DTF at $0.10 fill out the counter.
Contract decorators and screen printers taking corporate overflow
Screen printing a 24 piece corporate order does not pay. Move those jobs to DTF, keep the account, and press the transfers in house at 300 to 325 F on cotton or 285 to 300 F on polyester.
Stamford questions
- Can DTF transfers reach Stamford the same day I order them?
- No. We hand the order to the carrier the same business day when it is placed by 3 PM Eastern, but transit is separate. Standard ground is 2 to 5 business days and expedited is 1 to 3. Orders after 3 PM, or on a weekend or federal holiday, ship the next business day.
- What does a left chest corporate logo cost per transfer?
- A 3.5 by 3.5 inch mark is 12.25 square inches, and standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch, so $0.735 per transfer. A 4 by 4 is 16 square inches, $0.96. Pricing follows the bounding box of the artwork, so cropping dead space around the logo lowers the per piece cost. Pre-cut contour cutting is $0.29 per transfer if you want them separated.
- Is there a minimum order for a company logo run?
- There is no minimum on standard DTF transfers, so a 20 piece executive run and a 500 piece all hands run cost the same per square inch. A few specialty items do carry minimums: puff DTF is 10 units, custom UV DTF has a $35 order minimum, and leatherette patches are 10 per shape and color.
- What artwork do you need for a corporate logo?
- Send a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background, sized at final print dimensions. If your only file has a white box behind the logo, the browser based background knockout tool on our site will strip it. The per square inch pricing calculator and the gang sheet builder are free to use before you order.
- Do raised UV patches and fauxbroidery ship the same day too?
- No. The cure and build stages on specialty UV are additive. Raised UV patches, dimensional UV graphics, luxury branding transfers, hard good branding components and fauxbroidery are 48 hours. Leatherette patches and puff DTF are 72 hours. Standard DTF, UV DTF and gang sheets are the same day products, on the 3 PM Eastern cutoff.
