Hi-vis, poly performance shirts and cotton duck press differently
Press spec is 300 to 325 F for cotton, 285 to 300 F for polyester, 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure. Most of what a service crew actually wears sits on the polyester side: hi-vis tees, moisture-wicking work polos, softshell layers. Run those at the low end and give them the full 15 seconds rather than reaching for more heat. On safety apparel, keep the platen off reflective tape and press the panel, not the trim. Cotton duck and heavyweight twill take the higher range fine. Do one test piece per garment style before committing a full run, because dye behavior changes between mills even at the same stated blend.
No minimum, so a new hire does not wait for a reorder
There is no minimum order on standard DTF transfers. One name, one logo, one sheet, whatever the week actually calls for. That matters for crews that turn over or grow through the season. You do not have to sit on a box of 50 unusable name prints or hold a new tech's shirts until you can justify a bulk run. Order the single $0.45 name transfer, press it, done. Same goes for a truck number change, a service line added to the back bar, or a phone number that changed. The rest of the catalog does carry some minimums: puff DTF at 10 units, leatherette patches at 10 per shape and color, custom UV DTF at a $35 order minimum.
Gang sheet or singles: the rate is the same, so fill the sheet
DTF gang sheets are 14 inches wide at $0.06 per square inch of sheet area, in fixed lengths: 14x18 at $15.12, 14x24 at $20.16, 14x36 at $30.24, 14x48 at $40.32, 14x54 at $45.36, 14x72 at $60.48. Because singles are billed on the bounding box at the same $0.06, a sheet only saves money when you pack it. Run it both ways. At the 0.25 inch minimum spacing, a 3.5 inch chest logo gives three across and about 11 rows on a 14x36, so 33 logos for $30.24. Those same 33 ordered as singles come to $20.79.
