DTF Transfers for Freeport, NY Waterfront and Charter Businesses

Freeport sits at the Nautical Mile end of Nassau County, where dockside dining rooms and charter operations run hard from spring through Labor Day and staff apparel gets replaced mid-season, not once a year. Long Island DTF Printing prints standard DTF transfers at $0.06 per square inch with no minimum, and anything ordered by 3 PM Eastern on a business day ships that same day.

The mid-season reorder is the order that actually matters

A waterfront season does not order once. You buy shirts in April, then you are short mediums in mid-July because staff turned over and the originals are wrecked. That second order is why the cutoff matters. An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. Same-day shipping is the standard service here, not a rush fee and not an upgrade. Standard transit is 2 to 5 business days, expedited is 1 to 3. Orders placed after 3 PM, on a weekend, or on a federal holiday ship the next business day. Production runs Monday through Friday.

Left-chest logo maths, and when a gang sheet is not the cheaper option

A left-chest crew logo is usually about 3.5 by 3.5 inches. That is a 12.25 square inch bounding box, so at $0.06 per square inch it is $0.74 per transfer. Forty of them is $29.40. Put the same logo on a 14 by 36 gang sheet and the sheet is $30.24, because gang sheets are priced on sheet area at the same rate. With the 0.25 inch minimum spacing you fit 3 across and 9 down, so 27 logos for $30.24, or $1.12 each. Gang sheets are not automatically cheaper. They win when you mix sizes and fill the full 14 inch width. One small logo repeated is cheaper as individual transfers.

Back prints, dock decals and merch you sell off a rack

An 11 by 14 back print is 154 square inches, or $9.24 per transfer. Twenty-four of those is $221.76, well past the $99 free shipping threshold for the contiguous US. Pair it with a $0.74 left chest and a two-location shirt costs $9.98 in transfers. If you are selling souvenir tees to visitors rather than clothing a crew, print the front graphic at 10 by 10 for $6.00 and skip the back entirely. Contour cutting is a $0.29 per transfer add-on when you want the shape pre-cut instead of squared off. Die-cut vinyl stickers run $0.22 per square inch for hull, cooler and window decals.

Pressing onto poly sun shirts versus cotton tees

Waterfront crews wear both, and they do not press the same. Cotton runs 300 to 325 F. Polyester and poly blends, including hooded sun shirts and performance staff polos, run 285 to 300 F. Both want 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure. Press one blank from the actual carton before you run the batch, especially on a saturated color, because blanks vary between mills and dye lots. Applied to spec, the transfer holds 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F, which is the relevant number for shirts that go through a service wash every week rather than a home machine every month.

UV DTF for tumblers, coolers and hard goods

Charter boats and bars both move branded drinkware. UV DTF transfers are $0.10 per square inch and apply to hard, smooth goods with no heat press. A 3 by 3 inch tumbler wrap is 9 square inches, so $0.90 each, and 24 of them is $21.60. UV DTF gang sheets are 24 inches wide. Standard DTF, UV DTF and gang sheets are all same-day products. The specialty UV builds are not: raised UV patches, dimensional UV graphics, luxury branding transfers and fauxbroidery are 48 hours, and leatherette patches and puff DTF are 72 hours. Custom UV DTF carries a $35 order minimum, puff DTF a 10 unit minimum.

Getting transfers to Freeport: ship, pick up, or courier

Our only facility is 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1, Huntington, NY 11743. There is no Freeport drop-off. Three ways to receive an order: shipping, free on orders of $99 and up in the contiguous US, 2 to 5 business days standard and 1 to 3 expedited; local pickup at the Huntington facility the same business day after production, by appointment; or a $19.99 flat-rate local courier option that appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses. Before you order, the site has a per-square-inch pricing calculator, a drag-and-drop gang sheet builder, an auto-build packer, and a background knockout tool for cleaning up a logo file.

Who orders from Freeport

Waterfront restaurant and bar managers

Front-of-house and kitchen shirts in mixed sizes, reordered mid-season as staff changes. Left-chest logos at $0.74 per transfer, no minimum, so a six-shirt gap order is worth placing on its own.

Charter captains and marine service operators

Crew shirts and poly sun hoodies pressed at 285 to 300 F, plus $0.22 per square inch die-cut vinyl for hull and cooler decals and UV DTF drinkware wraps at $0.90 for a 3 by 3 inch print.

Seasonal merch and dockside retail sellers

Souvenir tees printed 10 by 10 at $6.00 per transfer, pressed to order so you are not sitting on dead sizes in September. Reorder by 3 PM and it ships that business day.

Nassau County decorators serving summer accounts

Gang sheets at $0.06 per square inch of sheet area, 14 inches wide in fixed lengths from 14x18 at $15.12 to 14x72 at $60.48, with 0.25 inch minimum spacing between designs.

Freeport questions

I need staff shirts for this weekend. If I order Monday, will they get here in time?
If the order is in by 3 PM Eastern Monday, it is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. Transit is separate: 2 to 5 business days standard, 1 to 3 expedited. Same-day shipping is not same-day delivery. For a Saturday deadline, order early in the week or choose expedited.
Is there a minimum order for DTF transfers?
No minimum on standard DTF transfers. If you are short four mediums, order four transfers. Pricing is $0.06 per square inch of the design bounding box either way, so a 3.5 inch square left chest is $0.74 whether you buy one or two hundred. Puff DTF, leatherette patches and custom UV DTF do carry minimums.
Will these hold up on shirts that get washed commercially every week?
Applied to spec, a standard DTF transfer holds 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F. Spec is 300 to 325 F for cotton, 285 to 300 F for polyester, 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure. Press one shirt from the actual carton first and wash it before committing the batch.
What artwork do you need, and what if my logo has a white background?
Send a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background, sized at final print dimensions. If your only file is a JPG or a logo sitting on white, use the free browser-based background knockout tool on the site to strip it, then check the edges at full size before uploading.
Can I pick up in person instead of shipping to Freeport?
Yes. Local pickup is the same business day after production, by appointment, at 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1, Huntington, NY 11743. That is our only location, so there is no Freeport drop-off point. A $19.99 flat-rate local courier option also appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses.
