DTF Transfers for North Bellport Salons, Barbers and Tattoo Studios

If you cut hair, do nails or tattoo in North Bellport, your merch problem is usually not the design. It is the quantity. Standard DTF transfers are $0.06 per square inch with no minimum order, and anything placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is handed to the carrier that same day. Print twelve, sell twelve, reorder.

Merch that sells at the counter, not out of a storage closet

A shop sells shirts in ones and twos at the register, not by the pallet. Standard DTF transfers have no minimum order, so you can buy twelve left chest logos this week and twelve more when the rack thins out. You keep pressing the blanks you already stock, and a shirt that has not sold is still a blank, not a dead SKU. Reorder cadence matters more than run size in this business. An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day, which is the standard service and not a rush fee. After 3 PM, or on a weekend or federal holiday, it ships the next business day.

What a chest logo and a back piece actually cost

Standard DTF is $0.06 per square inch of the design's bounding box. A 3.5 by 3 inch left chest mark is 10.5 square inches, so $0.63 per transfer, and twenty four of them is $15.12. An 11 by 11 inch back print is 121 square inches, $7.26 each, and twenty four comes to $174.24. A 2 by 11 inch sleeve strip is 22 square inches, $1.32. Front and back on one shirt, a 9 by 9 chest plus an 11 by 11 back, is $4.86 plus $7.26, so $12.12 in transfers per unit. Bounding box means the rectangle around the artwork, not the inked area, so cropping tight to your linework is real money on flash designs with a lot of dead space.

Gang sheets: when the maths works and when it does not

DTF gang sheets are 14 inches wide and priced at $0.06 per square inch of sheet area, the same rate as individual transfers. Fixed lengths are 14x18 at $15.12, 14x24 at $20.16, 14x36 at $30.24, 14x48 at $40.32, 14x54 at $45.36 and 14x72 at $60.48. Since you pay for sheet area, the only cost difference is the empty space. Identical 3.5 inch chest logos pack three across with the 0.25 inch minimum spacing, and the leftover strip is money spent on nothing, so order uniform small logos as individual transfers. Gang sheets earn their keep on mixed jobs: one artist's back piece, three chest marks and a row of sleeve strips nest tightly on a single 14x36 and arrive as one sheet to cut.

Capes, smocks and aprons: read the label before you press

Capes, smocks and most barber aprons are polyester or a poly blend. Press those at 285 to 300 F. Cotton tees and hoodies take 300 to 325 F. Both run 10 to 15 seconds at medium-firm pressure. Check the fabric before you commit a good cape, because waxed or coated shells and anything with a water resistant finish do not belong under a platen. Applied to spec, transfers hold 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104F, which is the number that matters when capes and staff shirts cycle through a hot wash several times a week. Test on a retired cape or a scrap before you run a new blank, and keep that test piece as your reference for next time.

Flash art, Procreate exports and scanned linework

Send a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background at final print size. The last part catches people. A Procreate canvas sized for a screen looks sharp on the iPad and soft at 11 inches across, so set the canvas to the printed dimensions before you start. Flash art scanned or photographed off white paper arrives with a white rectangle behind it, and that rectangle prints as white ink. The free background knockout tool on the site runs in your browser and strips it, so a scan becomes a usable transfer without opening Photoshop. There is also a per square inch pricing calculator, a drag and drop gang sheet builder and an auto-build packer for laying out mixed sheets.

Getting the order into Brookhaven

North Bellport sits in the Town of Brookhaven, Suffolk County, and there are three ways to take delivery. Shipping is free on orders of $99 and up in the contiguous US, with standard transit of 2 to 5 business days and expedited 1 to 3. Same-day shipping is not same-day delivery: the package leaves us that day, and the carrier still needs its transit time. Local pickup is available the same business day after production, by appointment, at our Huntington facility at 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1. A $19.99 flat rate local courier option appears at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses. Production runs Monday to Friday. Questions on a fabric or a file: 631-458-3842 or our order desk.

Who orders from North Bellport

Barbershops

Left chest and back logo tees for the retail rack, plus sleeve strips on staff shirts. No minimum means you reorder twelve at a time as the rack empties instead of guessing at a hundred piece run.

Hair and nail salons

Branded tees and poly smocks for the floor, retail shirts for clients who ask where to buy one, and UV DTF at $0.10 per square inch for station mirrors, tool cases and product displays.

Tattoo studios

Artist specific flash tees, shop merch and die-cut vinyl stickers at $0.22 per square inch for the counter jar. Run a small batch per artist rather than one house design nobody claims.

Lash, brow and suite renters

One chair operations printing a dozen shirts at a time. Standard DTF carries no minimum, so a single 3.5 by 3 inch chest mark at $0.63 per transfer is a real order, not a rounding error.

North Bellport questions

Can I order just twelve shirts worth of transfers for my North Bellport shop?
Yes. Standard DTF transfers have no minimum order. Twelve 3.5 by 3 inch chest logos are 10.5 square inches each at $0.06, so $7.56 for the set. A few specialty items do carry minimums: puff DTF is 10 units, custom UV DTF has a $35 order minimum, and leatherette patches are 10 per shape and color.
Will a transfer survive the way we wash capes, smocks and staff shirts?
Applied per spec, transfers hold 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104F. The spec is 300 to 325 F for cotton, 285 to 300 F for polyester, 10 to 15 seconds, medium-firm pressure. Capes and smocks are usually poly, so use the lower temperature range. Under-pressing is the common failure here, not the laundry.
My tattoo flash is only a scan with a white background. Can you print it?
Not as it stands, because the white rectangle behind the linework prints as white ink. Use the free browser-based background knockout tool on the site to strip it, then export a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background at final print size. Bounding box pricing also means cropping tight to the artwork lowers what you pay.
If I order Tuesday morning, when does it actually ship?
An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier that same business day. That is the standard service for every customer, not an upgrade. Standard transit is 2 to 5 business days and expedited is 1 to 3. Orders after 3 PM, on weekends or on federal holidays ship the next business day.
What about hat patches and raised branding for the shop?
Raised UV patches are $0.65 per square inch, so a 3 by 1.5 inch hat patch is 4.5 square inches at $2.93 each. Those run a 48 hour turnaround because the cure and build stages are additive. Leatherette patches and puff DTF are 72 hours. Standard DTF, UV DTF and gang sheets are the same-day products.
