DTF Transfers for West Islip Nonprofits, Walks and Fundraisers

If you are organizing a charity walk, a volunteer day or a fundraiser in West Islip, the shirts carry a hard deadline. We print DTF transfers at $0.06 per square inch of the design's bounding box, with no minimum on standard DTF. An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day is printed, inspected, packed and handed to the carrier the same day.

What a 250 shirt walk run actually costs

Pricing is $0.06 per square inch of the design's bounding box, so a committee in the Town of Islip can price a run before committing to garments. A front event graphic at 11 by 9 inches is 99 square inches, or $5.94 per transfer. A back sponsor block at 12 by 5 inches is 60 square inches, or $3.60. Two hundred fifty shirts carrying both come to $2,385.00. Forty volunteer tees with a 3.5 by 3 inch left chest are 10.5 square inches each, $0.63 apiece, $25.20 for the set. There is no minimum on standard DTF, and orders of $99 and up ship free in the contiguous US. Pre-cut contour cutting is optional at $0.29 per transfer.

Sponsors that commit late do not cost you a setup fee

DTF has no screens, so adding a sponsor two weeks after the first order costs you the square inches of the new art and nothing else. The usual move is to keep the sponsor block on its own transfer, separate from the front graphic. When a new logo lands, you reprint only the block and press it onto garments that already have their fronts done. At 12 by 5 inches that is $3.60 a shirt. You can run tiers the same way: a 12 by 5 inch presenting bar at $3.60 and a 12 by 2.5 inch supporting row at $1.80. Order by 3 PM Eastern and the reprint ships that same business day.

Sponsor logos arrive as JPGs with a white box behind them

Every fundraiser hits this. A sponsor's marketing contact sends a 600 pixel JPG pulled off their website, with a white rectangle where transparency should be. DTF prints white ink, so that rectangle will print. What we need is a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background at final print size: a logo that will print 4 inches wide should be 1200 pixels wide. The free background knockout tool on the site runs in your browser and strips a flat white background off a clean logo. If the file is genuinely low resolution, go back to the sponsor and ask for the vector or the original PNG. It is a two line email and it saves the print.

Counting backwards from event day in business days

Production runs Monday through Friday. An order placed by 3 PM Eastern on a business day ships that same business day. After 3 PM, or on a weekend or federal holiday, it ships the next business day. Same-day shipping is not same-day delivery: standard transit is 2 to 5 business days, expedited is 1 to 3. For a Saturday event on standard transit, order roughly two weeks out, not the Monday before. Our only facility is in Huntington, NY, so a West Islip order either ships, gets picked up in Huntington the same business day after production by appointment, or goes out with the $19.99 flat-rate local courier option available at checkout for eligible Long Island addresses.

Pressing three hundred shirts with volunteers you trained that morning

Set the press once and verify it. Cotton runs 300 to 325 F, polyester 285 to 300 F, both at 10 to 15 seconds with medium-firm pressure. Walk and 5K orders usually mix the two, cotton tees for the crowd and performance poly for the runners, so keep the poly at the lower end and do not let a volunteer press a poly shirt at the cotton setting. Applied to spec, prints hold through 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F. Press one test shirt before the line starts and wash it, and you have confirmed your settings on the actual garment you bought. Production defects are reprinted when reported within 7 days of delivery with photos.

Gang sheets, and the honest arithmetic on whether they help

Individual transfers and gang sheets both bill at $0.06 per square inch, but a sheet bills its entire area including the gaps. A 14 by 72 inch sheet is $60.48. At the 0.25 inch minimum spacing, a 3 by 3.5 inch left chest nests four across and nineteen down, 76 to a sheet, roughly $0.80 each against $0.63 billed individually. So a sheet does not win on price. What it buys you is one packed piece to cut down at the press instead of a stack of loose transfers, plus a way to nest irregular art whose bounding box is mostly empty. The drag-and-drop builder and the auto-packer on the site are free to use.

Who orders from West Islip

Walk and 5K organizing committees

You have a fixed event date, a shirt count that keeps moving until registration closes, and a front graphic plus a sponsor back. Per-square-inch pricing lets you re-quote the whole run every time the number changes.

Volunteer and staff coordinators

Short runs of left chest transfers, often 20 to 40, going onto whatever shirt colors are already in the storage closet. At 3.5 by 3 inches that is $0.63 each, with no minimum to clear first.

PTA and booster fundraiser chairs

Merch you sell to raise money, pressed in small batches as it moves rather than ordered blind. Transfers store flat, so print the run once and press to demand across the whole season.

Grant-funded program staff

Cost per shirt has to be defensible in a report. The price is bounding box area times $0.06, so every line item is arithmetic you can reproduce and explain to a funder without guesswork.

West Islip questions

Is there a minimum order for a fundraiser shirt run?
No minimum on standard DTF transfers. Twelve volunteer tees and three hundred walk shirts are the same $0.06 per square inch. A few specialty items do carry minimums: puff DTF is 10 units, custom UV DTF has a $35 order minimum, and leatherette patches are 10 per shape and color.
A sponsor committed after we already ordered. Can we add their logo?
Yes, and there is no setup or screen fee for it. Keep the sponsor block as its own transfer so you can reprint that piece alone. A 12 by 5 inch block is $3.60 per shirt. Order by 3 PM Eastern on a business day and it goes to the carrier that same day.
How do I get transfers to West Islip in time for a Saturday event?
Work in business days. We ship the same business day on orders placed by 3 PM Eastern, but transit is separate: 2 to 5 business days standard, 1 to 3 expedited. Two weeks out on standard is comfortable. Tighter than that, pick up in Huntington by appointment, or check for the $19.99 flat-rate courier option at checkout, available for eligible Long Island addresses.
Our sponsor only sent a small JPG. Will it print?
Probably not well. We need a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background at final print size, so a logo printing 4 inches wide should be 1200 pixels wide. A white background prints as white ink. The free browser-based knockout tool removes a flat white background; for a low-resolution file, ask the sponsor for the original.
Will the prints survive a season of washing?
Applied per spec, 50 or more commercial wash cycles at 104 F. Spec is 300 to 325 F for cotton, 285 to 300 F for polyester, 10 to 15 seconds, medium-firm pressure. Most failures trace back to a press reading hotter or cooler than its dial. Production defects are reprinted when reported within 7 days of delivery with photos.
